  I got my hair fully highlighted today with Maria and absolutely love the outcome! She got my hair as bright as I asked and was very kind during the appointment too. The prices here are good as well!

  AWFUL NAIL SERVICES! Never Be Tricked by Their Cheap Prices! I am writing this review after two separate visits to Atelier Academy of Beauty for gel nail services. I wanted to give them a fair chance before leaving a review, but unfortunately both experiences were extremely disappointing. First visit: I got a gel manicure and gel pedicure combo. The gel pedicure started peeling after only 5 days, and the gel manicure completely peeled off within 10 days. For comparison, my previous gel manicure from another salon lasted about 3 weeks before showing any peeling, and some nails stayed intact for almost 4 weeks. This was by far the shortest-lasting gel manicure I have ever had. On top of that, the gel polish itself was applied incredibly thick. I even mentioned to the student that the polish seemed unusually thick and offered to switch to another color if that particular gel formula was the issue. She told me it was fine and continued anyway. The finished nails looked bulky and unnatural because of how much product had been applied. Since I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt, I decided to come back a second time. Second visit: Before the service even started, I explained to the instructor that my previous gel manicure had peeled very quickly. Instead of taking my feedback seriously, she seemed annoyed by it. I also noticed her checking on many other students throughout the salon, but my technician received very little supervision. What happened during this appointment was honestly shocking. After completing the nail preparation, before applying the gel polish, the student gave me a hand massage using lotion/oil. My nails became oily immediately before the gel application. Even though I am not a nail technician, I have had gel manicures for years and knew this didn’t seem right. Every salon I have ever visited performs the hand massage after the gel manicure is completely finished—not before. I didn’t want to question the student during the appointment because I wasn’t certain. When I got home, I researched it and confirmed that oils and lotions on the nail surface can interfere with gel adhesion if they are not properly removed before application. Sure enough, my gel manicure started peeling within 5 days. Five days. Even regular nail polish often lasts longer than that. What makes this even more concerning is that the academy advertises that students are supervised. From what I experienced, the supervision was far from adequate. The instructor seemed to evaluate only the final appearance rather than supervising the process itself. A mistake as fundamental as applying lotion before gel polish should have been caught immediately. Students should be guided throughout each step of the service, not just at the end. I have visited other beauty academies where students perform services under instructor supervision, and those experiences were excellent. This academy was, unfortunately, the worst experience I have had. Over my two visits, I spent around $100, and I regret every dollar. Cheap prices are not a bargain if the service lasts less than a week and has to be redone immediately. If you’re thinking about getting your nails done here because of the lower prices, my advice is simple: Don’t waste your money. I gave them two chances, and both visits ended with gel peeling within days and poor-quality work. I would not recommend this academy for nail services.

  I am a HUGE fan of Atelier. Found this beauty school when looking for somewhere for an affordable facial and I have been back several times after this. My facial was incredible and I have also gotten pedicures here and they are also amazing and so affordable. The students are amazing and attentive. They love to socialize and are very VERY knowledgeable. I will be a forever customer here for sure and who doesn’t love a great deal while helping be further their education! Big big fan!

  My nail tech was Fabulous (Maci L). I have never been treated so well. Maci did an excellent job on my pedicure and help me repair my nails. I wish everyone could have the same experience.
