  I did not want to leave a bad review because my initial stylist was very sweet and professional, but I feel the need to warn others: if they mess up your hair color, they will make you pay to fix it. I went in to get my hair dyed pastel lavender as an ombre. My hair is naturally light brown, and I had previously gotten a similar service at another location that turned out great, so I knew the look was achievable. My stylist dyed my hair a pinkish purple that was nowhere close to what I asked for. I believe the issue was that she did not reference my inspiration photo before mixing the dye, and did not check in with me before applying it. When I let her know that I didn't like it, she offered to redo the service two weeks later after the dye faded. At the follow-up appointment, she fixed some poorly bleached pieces for free, which I appreciated. However, she then dyed my hair blue (again, not what I asked for) and I was still charged for it. The blue also started turning green after the first wash. I came back a third time to finally get the pastel purple I originally requested. I was initially told I would be charged full price for their mistake. I managed to negotiate a discount, but the fact that I paid anything at all is unacceptable. In total I spent several hundred dollars beyond my original service to correct errors that were not my fault. My third appointment was with a different stylist who did an excellent job. She looked at my inspiration photos, walked me through the dye mixing process, and showed me swatches so I could pick the exact shade. If this was done during my initial appointment, the entire situation could have been prevented. She also used a pre-mixed pastel purple dye that was perfect, so it's unclear why my initial stylist was attempting to mix her own purple dye in the first place. That being said, my original stylist was kind, took my allergies seriously, and did a great job on my haircut. This review is meant as constructive feedback. Stylists should confirm color with clients before applying dye, and salons should not charge customers to fix mistakes their staff made.
