  I got a GelEvate set done by Zoey, she did an amazing job on my nails! She was amazing at explained different ideas of what we could do to improvise on certain parts. We were able to have a conversation without it distracting her from doing her job and staying focused. She’s was really good on the timing and didn’t rush on my nails even when it was a very intricate design! I definitely recommend her for getting your nails done, I would definitely be getting my next nail set done by her!!

  I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel like people should know about my experience. I scheduled a perm appointment at this school because they offer evening appointments, which is important since I have young kids and my husband’s work schedule makes daytime appointments nearly impossible. I even called TWICE beforehand to confirm my appointment and made sure they knew I have long, thick hair. On top of that, I drove an hour each way for this appointment because it was one of the only places with evening availability. After spending THREE AND A HALF HOURS there, they had my entire head wrapped in perm rods and were ready to apply the solution…only to discover they didn’t have any perm solution. How is that not checked before the appointment starts? Or at least before someone spends hours having their hair wrapped? To their credit, they didn’t charge me, and the instructor offered me a free perm and a 90-minute facial. While I appreciate the gesture, it doesn’t give me back the 5½ hours I invested between driving and sitting in the chair, nor does it solve the fact that I don’t have the time to come back for another appointment. I arranged childcare and my entire evening around this because it was supposed to be something nice for myself. This was completely avoidable with a simple inventory check before my appointment. Instead, I left disappointed, frustrated, and feeling like my time wasn’t valued at all.

  I had the privilege of being one of Emma’s night esthetics students also cosmo and I truly can’t recommend her enough. She has a way of making every student feel comfortable, confident, and capable, no matter their experience level. Emma is incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely passionate about helping her students succeed. She doesn’t just teach you how to pass your exams, she teaches you how to become a skilled, confident esthetician in the real world. She always took the time to answer questions, demonstrate techniques, and make sure we understood the “why” behind everything we were learning. One of the biggest things I took away from her class was confidence in performing facials and creating treatment plans for clients. She emphasized proper technique, professionalism, client care, and building trust, which has helped me tremendously since graduating. Emma truly cares about every one of her students and celebrates their successes long after they leave her classroom. You can tell teaching isn’t just a job for her, she puts her whole heart into it. if you’re looking for an educator who is supportive, encouraging, and genuinely invested in your growth, she’s the one. I’m so grateful I had the opportunity to learn from her, and I wouldn’t be where I am today without her. 💗

  As a night student in the Cosmetology 101 program, I have had the pleasure of having Miss Emma as my instructor. She fosters a positive classroom environment where students feel comfortable to ask questions. Her dedication to teaching is prominent, she goes above and beyond to give her students a quality education. I feel very confident in my ability to perform services thanks to Miss Emma. I especially appreciate that she teaches beyond the standard curriculum, even incorporating advanced training. She genuinely cares for her students and their success, evident by her advocation. I am very thankful to have Miss Emma as my instructor and highly recommend taking the night program at Bellus Academy, all because of her!

  I’m currently in the daytime Cosmo 101 program and will be graduating soon. This program, along with all of the educators, has been such an amazing experience. Ms. Emma, in particular, has had a huge impact on my growth and confidence as a stylist. She has helped me master curtain bangs and long, thick haircuts while always taking the time to make sure I truly understand what I’m learning. She comes in every day with a positive attitude and gives 100% to her students. She’s always willing to refresh my memory or explain something in a different way until it finally clicks. One of the biggest examples of that was formulating. It was something I had struggled to fully understand, but after one in depth conversation with Ms. Emma, it finally made sense. In that short amount of time, I learned more than I had from any previous explanation, and it completely changed my confidence when working with color. I am incredibly thankful for everything she’s done for me. I only wish I had the opportunity to have her in the daytime classroom or on the floor throughout my program. Thanks to her guidance, I am graduating as a more knowledgeable, skilled, and confident stylist.
