This was my first time at this Salon. I was looking for a new place to do my hair as I was not happy with my previous stylist. Igor did a great job with my color and highlights. He listened to what I wanted and I am very happy with the final result. I will definitely be back.

Igor did an amazing job on my hair. I am new to the area and was hesitant to find someone to cut my hair since I have longer curls, but I would definitely recommend this place. Professional but inviting environment, would definitely go again

The blonde owner was beyond rude.
When I booked the appointment I was told there is a cash price and a card price. The card price had a processing fee of 3.99%.
I brought my DEBIT card which is equivalent to cash and was told I would be charged the processing service fee. I indicated that is a mistake because the federal government mandates that debit cards be treated as cash in EVERY U.S state at all point of sale systems.
Instead of thanking me for pointing out that their card processor was scamming them with unlawful fees on DEBIT cards, the blonde owner became harsh, defensive, and antagonistic towards me. It was very uncomfortable for the entire salon who was listening in.
It's a shame too because my stylist, Alan actually did a great job on my hair.
Edit: The front desk coordinator was very polite, the co-owner, Karolina was the one who interjected into the conversation with open hostility.

I called this salon last week and specifically explained that I am biracial with Afro-textured hair and that I've been getting curly perms for years. I explained that, for my hair, the process that consistently gives me a uniform curl involves first chemically softening the hair and then wrapping it on rods before applying the curling solution. The woman I spoke with told me she had spoken with the stylist, that she knew exactly what I needed, and we booked the appointment.
When I arrived, my hair was washed and the stylist immediately began preparing to put in the rods. I asked if she would be straightening the hair first and she replied, "Why would I do that? That doesn't make any sense." I explained that chemically softening the hair first is what has always given me the most uniform results. She replied that my hair was already wet and that if she straightened it, she would just have to wet it again afterward. At that point, it became clear that she thought I was referring to simply wetting the hair and did not understand that I was talking about a chemical softening step.
She then told me she had been doing hair for 35 years and that this was how perms are done. I explained that while traditional perms on straight or slightly wavy hair typically do not require a separate softening step, curly reformation services on tightly curled, coily, or Afro-textured hair often do. In my experience, skipping that step on my hair results in uneven and frizzy curls because the natural curl pattern competes with the new one. She insisted that it was unnecessary.
I asked if she could give me a few minutes to contact my previous stylist so they could explain the process. She stepped away and returned about a minute later asking, "So what are we doing?" making me feel rushed while I was still trying to reach my stylist to make sure the process was done correctly. I then asked if we could do a strand test, which I consider especially important for chemical services. I was told no, unless I wanted to pay for the entire service just to do one strand. At that point, I decided it was best to leave rather than risk damaging my hair.
I appreciate that she chose not to perform a service she wasn't comfortable with, but I wish the salon had been upfront from the beginning that they were unfamiliar with the process I had described instead of assuring me that they knew exactly what I needed.
For anyone with Afro-textured hair seeking a uniform curl pattern through a curl reformation service, I strongly recommend confirming that the stylist is experienced with chemically softening the hair before setting the curls. Based on my experience, this salon did not appear to understand that distinction and would not be the right fit for that type of service.
I felt like she got defensive, and I started to feel rushed to make a decision on whether we would do it or not by the stylist - but aside from that, everyone there was very nice.
