  I’ve read the reviews and have also visited this Sephora location myself, and unfortunately, my experience was similar. It really does feel like customers are being profiled—not necessarily by race, but by appearance and whether they seem like they can afford to shop there. I regularly purchase all of my skincare from Sephora, but I’ve been having issues at multiple locations. One of the biggest problems is the lack of product knowledge and customer service from employees. During my last visit, I was looking to switch up my skincare routine since my skin has been drier than usual, even though I typically have oily skin. I asked a male employee for recommendations, and his response was simply, “Buy whatever you’re having issues with right now.” There was no effort to guide me, show me options, or even ask follow-up questions. I ended up standing there, continuing to browse on my own without any real assistance. As I mentioned in another review, it really wouldn’t hurt for employees to do some basic research on the products they carry. Also, greeting and assisting customers should be a priority—treat people the way you’d want to be treated. I’ve noticed that while many employees have great makeup skills, there seems to be a lack of customer service training. Because of this, I would recommend going into this Sephora location already knowing what you want, as it may be difficult to get helpful guidance for any concerns or questions.

  Unfortunately, my first visit to this Sephora location was disappointing due to bad customer service. The staff seemed rude, making judgments based on appearance, and didn't make an effort to improve my experience. I think management might be the root of the issue, given that two staff members behaved similarly.

  I went to Kohl’s to buy some Nike shoes, and I found what I needed and started to leave when I remembered I wanted some cologne for men, so I asked a department store employee where I can purchase a cologne for men and she direct me to Sephora, my 1st time there, I walked in, and I asked one of the employees where the cologne for men was cause I didn’t know she pointed to a corner of the store. I proceeded to walk over there when I noticed through a mirror she was calling the other coworker and pointed towards me to watch out for me. It made me feel uncomfortable. She was profiling me, accusing me of stealing or about to steal. It really made me feel uncomfortable. I confronted her and I told her why she did what she did. She stood quiet I spoke to the manager, and I left the store and I didn’t buy anything my first time there and I will never go there again and I will tell my family members and anybody I know how I was treated there so they will never spend money there at Sephora there racist at this Sephora.👎👎👎 Employee Kayla is the employee that was profiling me like a racist person that she is….
