  I’ve been here a couple of times, and unfortunately this visit didn’t match my first experience. The store had limited stock and a pretty small range of color options, which made it harder to find what I was looking for. The associate who helped me seemed to lose interest partway through and didn’t really make an effort to help me find the right product. What stood out most, though, was that she used the applicator directly from the bottle and applied it to my hand instead of using a disposable wand, which felt unsanitary. That said, they do have a solid perfume selection, which is a plus. I just wish the overall service and hygiene standards were more consistent.

  I was very upset when I entered Sephora, trying to return a perfume purchase that I ordered online. Through Karna two of the cashiers told me I was unable to return the perfume because I didn’t order it through the app. I checked out as a Guessbut after looking it up, I should have been able to return the perfume with no problem. They just was too lazy to do it.

  This store is conveniently located, but unfortunately, it’s not a place I’d want to return to. Every time we visit and spend a significant amount, there are no samples offered to customers. At other locations, we usually receive almost double the samples we expect, which makes the experience much better. It’s disappointing because it feels inconsistent—either they pick and choose who to give samples to or are just being overly stingy. Because of this, I’d honestly rather order online where the sample promotions are better. I’d recommend going to the Stoneridge or Palo Alto locations instead— they’re larger and provide a much better overall experience.

  Not sure how this location has a 4.2 star rating. This is the closest location to me and every time I walk in there to get help with foundation match or concealer, they don’t know what they’re talking about. The girl that helped me was so far off color match for foundation and concealer and it’s not the first time it’s happened to me at this location. And lately they’re so busy that you’re having to wait a long time just to get help. Just last month I walked into a Sephora in San Francisco. I was greeted right away and got help on some products I’ve been wanting to try. Makes me feel like I’m going to have to travel just to get good help at another Sephora. Sephora at the Marina Square in San Leandro really needs to get it together.

  I was looking for some lip liners and I had the pleasure of being helped out by Helen (the best name btw). I’ve never really used lip liners and I’ve just generally been pretty bad at picking out the right colors. I showed Helen my favorite lip gloss and the liners she suggested were perfect! I just tried both on and just had to leave a review because I’m so happy with the colors and I’m so so excited for new going-out lip combos!!
