- JJJosh JamesAug 20, 20265.0This is a special place with a great group of people. My wife and I saw Rachel and Andrew today. They were welcoming. Precise. Genuinely nice people. Their work is fantastic too. I can't recommend them enough. The shop vibe was great.
- JCJonah CreekJun 15, 20265.0Andrew was very helpful and reassuring. Could not ask for a better place for a first tattoo
- JMJennifer McBrideJun 8, 20265.0Place is awesome!!! Two other artists came in while I was getting tattooed and they were both soooo nice. Tattooed by Tommy—awesome design, great communicator, and continuously checked in with me during the process. Will be coming back again🤘🏼😉
- TSTravis ShihadehOct 16, 20245.0I had my first tattoo experience ever last week and it was phenomenal. Rachel worked with me every step of the way from putting my idea on to paper, listening to my adjustments, and actually completing the tattoo. I have gotten countless compliments so far on the line work and shading of my tattoos and am already having the itch to get more, all because of the great job Rachel did.
- JTJames TesslerJan 22, 20245.0Great experience, everyone in shop was cool and my artist Ed was quick and did an amazing job.
Frequently Asked Questions About Aces High Tattoo
What is your shop minimum?
We have a $100 minimum for all tattoo services at our shop.
Do you take walk-ins?
Absolutely! We're happy to accommodate walk-in clients.
Do you do piercings?
We don't offer piercing services at this time.
Do you offer free tattoo touch-ups?
Yes! We offer free touch-ups for the first 6 months after your appointment to ensure your tattoo heals perfectly and looks its absolute best. This applies to all styles, from our fine line work to large traditional pieces.
How much does a custom tattoo cost?
Beyond our $100 shop minimum, our tattoos are priced either by a flat rate for the design or by an hourly rate for larger, custom pieces. The total cost depends on the size, placement, and complexity of the design. We always provide a clear estimate during your initial consultation.
How old do I need to be to get a tattoo in California?
In accordance with California state law, you must be at least 18 years old to get a tattoo. We strictly enforce this policy and require a valid, government-issued photo ID (such as a driver's license or passport) at the time of your appointment. Please note that parental consent cannot bypass this legal age requirement.
Do you specialize in cover-ups or tattooing over scars?
Yes, our experienced artists specialize in a wide variety of custom work, including tattoo cover-ups and tattooing over healed scar tissue. We recommend setting up a consultation so we can evaluate the area and design a custom piece that seamlessly masks or integrates the existing mark.
How should I prepare for my tattoo appointment?
To ensure the best possible experience, we recommend following these steps before coming in:
Get a good night’s sleep before your session.
Stay well-hydrated and eat a solid meal 1–2 hours before arriving.
Wear loose, comfortable clothing that allows easy access to the tattoo placement area.
Do not consume alcohol or blood-thinning medications 24 hours prior to your appointment.
What is your policy on booking deposits?
For custom designs and scheduled appointments, we require a non-refundable deposit. This deposit secures your time slot with the artist and goes directly toward the final price of your tattoo on the day of your session.
How do I properly take care of my new tattoo?
Proper tattoo aftercare is vital for the longevity and clarity of your body art. Keep the initial bandage on as instructed by your artist, then gently wash the area with lukewarm water and antibacterial, fragrance-free soap. Pat dry and apply a thin layer of recommended aftercare ointment. Avoid swimming, soaking in hot tubs, and direct sunlight for at least 2–3 weeks while your tattoo heals.
