  I went to Studs in the Abbot Kinney location and didn’t want to re-pierce my industrial due to my ear anatomy. Which makes no sense but okay. And didn’t bother to suggest a different piercing but instead the piercer insisted on the other ear that I didn’t want to get pierced. I’m very disappointed because I would see people have a good experience on TikTok . But in my case, I didn’t have a good experience with studs.

  I’ve been thinking about my experience at this location for several days and felt it was worth sharing. I’ve been to STUDS in Century City before, was pierced there, and had a great experience, so I was excited to visit a newer location closer to me! Maybe it was bad luck, I reallly don't know but the person helping me made the entire experience feel so uncomfortable. She came across as judgmental, impatient, and not kind or welcoming at all. The way she kept asking if the pricing was “okay” made me feel like she was assuming I couldn’t afford what I was asking for, which was really uncomfortable. Even my boyfriend was like why is she talking like that (lol). When I was about to move forward with two piercings and a jewelry change, her attitude and facial expression felt dismissive and judgmental. I had such a weird gut feeling so I followed my intuition to stop. At that point, I decided to leave instead of letting her pierce me. Piercing is personal, and you should feel safe, respected, and supported by the person doing it. The whole interaction was just so bizzare. I don’t think this reflects STUDS as a whole, since I’ve had a great experience with the company before, but this interaction completely changed how I felt about coming back. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, because customer service really matters—especially in a place where people are trusting the staff with something permanent.   I came in a week ago hoping to get my third lobe piercings. My piercer, Gia, felt my ears and determined that the earrings would have to go through the cartilage because I don’t have enough space on my lobes. She reassured me that I didn’t need to get pierced if I had changed my mind, but eventually I decided to get a helix piercing instead (and she was very patient as I deliberated for maybe 20 minutes). I was really nervous, as I had never been brave enough to get any type of cartilage piercing, but Gia kept me laughing and smiling through the whole process. The piercing ended up being super easy and it barely hurt. So far it’s been healing beautifully, and I plan to come back to Gia for those third lobe/lower helix piercings that I originally wanted!

  Just came here to get my piercings checked and the staff are so sweet! Maddie at the front desk was personable and helpful, the piercer who checked on me, Jalen was gentle and made me feel very comfortable. Studs can be on the pricier side for piercings vs independent shops but customer service has been awesome. I got 5 done at once in NY on a trip and I’ve never had a problem with my check-ins around LA, I’m very happy I can pop into a location near me and get it looked at by a professional in person. I really liked this location and would definitely come back. Highly recommend!
