- MMMk MMay 9, 20262.0I had a terrible experience here. Reagan was not very friendly from the start, but was helping me and my friend. The entire interaction she was clearly uninterested, texting on her phone and was very short with us whenever we asked her about the jewelry. Another customer walks in and asks another employee about their larger diamonds and suddenly Reagan shifted her attention to them. Meanwhile, my friend and I were still actively looking at jewelry with her which made it very awkward. The manager who had been hovering behind her the entire time also started engaging with the new customer. I only realized she was the manager when she introduced herself to them, so there were three different employees helping this customer while my friend and I were being overlooked. While we weren’t buying the biggest pieces, we still spent thousands of dollars here and I regret not leaving instead. The whole experience felt degrading and I don’t recommend.

Lee (from the NYC location) and Martha were so kind, super helpful, and patient with me while I picked the locations for the my next piercings and dazzling jewelry to put in them. They really took the time to get to know me, and make me comfortable. Stefan, my piercer, was so knowledgeable and helped me fine tune the location of my in between TASH Rook and rook. He did my piercings with so much stealth I barely felt them and there was zero mess. He does stellar work and it's no wonder he's been featured on TV! The piercings he did are healing better than my older still healing piercings! Pictured are TASH Rook/rook and my contra conch with the cutest little leaf. I felt like old friends with Martha, Lee, and Reagan by the time I left. I can't wait to see Lee again at Maria TASH in NYC for some more curating fun in a couple of months! But I can't thank everyone enough at this location, and I'll be sure to come back to this shop next time I'll in LA. You can't beat the expertise and quality of Maria Tash. Take it from someone who has learned the hard way, and run to Maria Tash for your next piercing! <3

Their selection is great and over 7-8 times I have only encountered extremely delightful, knowledgeable and helpful sales staff. The real reason I can never go anywhere else is their piercer - guy has been so patient and helpful getting my ears re-pierced and all properly sized fitting pieces in each of my ear piercings. Will keep going back!
- QHqi heMar 22, 20262.0I had a mixed experience at Maria Tash. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful, which I really appreciated. However, the technician who helped me change my jewelry made me feel very uncomfortable. The process was quite rough and aggressive. I’ve had jewelry changed at the same piercing location at other studios before, and it was never this painful. This time, my fully healed piercing was actually irritated and started bleeding, which was very concerning. Overall, it felt unprofessional and disappointing. I originally planned to come back for another piercing if the experience was good, but after this, I’ve completely changed my mind.

Are your earrings sold as singles or pairs?
Maria Tash jewelry is sold as singles unless otherwise stated. To order a pair, please add two of the items to your cart. Our large earrings are the only items we sell in pairs. These items are pictured as a pair and the product description also states that they’re sold as a pair.
What size jewelry works best for me?
Our experience involves you pairing one-on-one with our stylists to completely guide you through your styling and piercing. There are multiple sizes to our jewelry, but our team will make sure that you are properly sized and confident.
What is the difference between a threaded and traditional stud?
Threaded backings use a screw-on/off design that makes the earring stay more securely in the ear. This is our standard style of jewelry. A traditional backing is also available. This is the traditional style of earring where you have a butterfly back that is separate and pushes onto the post to hold the jewelry in place.
Do I need to book an appointment?
Appointments are available for piercings but walk-ins are always welcome. Appointments are not required for fittings and installs or purchasing jewelry.
Can I be pierced with my own jewelry?
Due to sterilization needs, we do not pierce with jewelry that is not Maria Tash. The best selections from our full collection will be available for styling and piercing. Our styles come in white, yellow, rose, and black gold. You're welcome to bring in your existing Maria Tash pieces and consult with a piercer to see if it can be used for an initial piercing.
How many piercings can I get in one session?
We recommend up to four piercings per session, but this is dependent on the piercings you are thinking about and your anatomy. Our stylists and piercers can best consult with you during your visit.
Can I be pierced if I am under 18?
Yes, please see piercing services page for each Maria Tash location. You must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and you both must bring ID with you. If the parent/legal guardian and child have different surnames, we require further identification to confirm guardianship i.e. a birth certificate. Please check each store policy as age when earlobe and cartilage piercing is permitted may vary by region.
Do you pierce with a needle or a piercing gun?
All of our piercings are made with single use sterile needles rather than piercing guns. We do not use piercing guns as they are not very accurate and cannot be properly sterilized.
