    I have been a customer for years and I had an exchange for the first time in years and the manager was absolutely adamant about not allowing me to exchange a product that didn’t work at ALL for me. Having worked retail it was really disappointing to see that the manager wasn’t willing to work with a customer. The girls at the cash wrap just kept looking at her giggling and I didn’t see what was so funny. I had 5 items I wanted to purchase and just exchange ONE. This product never worked and it was so expensive. To toss it and not be able to apply my money to other products is very upsetting.

    I had a very disappointing experience at this store today. A group of older women inside the cosmetics area were openly making rude and insulting comments about customers walking by. I personally heard comments such as “look at the clowns, we are in the circus,” while they laughed and mocked people. It created a very uncomfortable and disrespectful environment for shoppers. What was most concerning was the level of hostility and inappropriate behavior displayed toward complete strangers. Instead of maintaining professionalism and basic courtesy, they seemed amused by putting others down. When I attempted to address the situation calmly and respectfully, the behavior continued and was treated like a joke. No customer should feel judged, mocked, or insulted while shopping. I hope management takes this seriously, addresses staff/customer conduct inside the store, and ensures a more respectful atmosphere moving forward.

    I am writing this to express my deep concern regarding the hygiene and professionalism of a consultant named Abby during our recent visit. My wife was having a color match done, and the experience was highly unprofessional for several reasons: Sanitation Negligence: Abby used a color-matching device on my wife's face without sanitizing it beforehand. Improper Equipment Handling: Immediately after the match, she placed the device directly on the floor and left it there. She even walked away for several minutes, and I actually had to be the one to point out to her upon her return that the equipment was still sitting on the ground. Unsanitary Product Application: When opening the makeup my wife wanted to try, Abby acknowledged that the tester was "really dirty." Instead of immediately cleaning it or getting a fresh one, she actually asked my wife if she should clean it or if she wanted to apply it as is. Expecting a client to apply dirty product or having to prompt a staff member to pick equipment up off the floor is ridiculous. We expect a much higher standard of cleanliness and care from Sephora.

    Normally I wouldn't complain or say anything about a bad experience but something is truly bothering me about something that happened to me at the Sephora at Irvine Spectrum. Tonight I went into Sephora to purchase my foundation, concealer, eyebrow pencil and mascara. I was having problems locating my foundation and concealer. A sweet young lady approached me asking if I needed assistance. I told her the colors and items I wanted. She proceeded to look and opened a drawer to look for the items. At that moment a Sephora associate approached us and very rudely said, "vendors are not to open drawers in front of a customer. " This was awkward for me and I was quite embarrassed because I didn't know that the girl helping me was a vendor. The rude associate said nothing more and walked off not offering to help me. In the meantime the vendor made me a sample of my foundation and a sample for my concealer. I left the store feeling quite humiliated and to be honest I will never return.
