  Looking for a Sephora where employees seem too busy to actually do their jobs, barely know the products they’re recommending, and somehow still manage to be rude to customers? Congratulations, you’ve found the perfect place! Apparently, customer service is optional here, but the bad attitude comes free of charge. Welcome to Sephora Ovation Hollywood!

  Just leaving this here for Ms. Ali, who helped me at this Sephora location. I’m not sure if she’s an employee or a manager, but she certainly seems much better at raising her voice at customers than actually helping them. Remember, Ms. Ali, when I asked for a refund to my original payment method and you rudely insisted that a Sephora gift card was my only option? Well, surprise! Turns out it was possible after all. I’ve attached the receipt so you can see for yourself. All I had to do was visit another Sephora and find someone with basic manners, patience, and actual knowledge of their job. That simple. While you chose to argue and raise your voice, someone else handled the refund without all the drama. Amazing what a little professionalism can accomplish, isn’t it? I genuinely don’t understand how Sephora has people with this kind of attitude working with customers. Here’s a little something to think about: wearing a uniform doesn’t make you a professional, and telling a customer no doesn’t make you right. Next time, before so confidently insisting something is impossible, maybe get your facts straight first. It’ll save you the embarrassment and save everyone else some wasted time. Thanks to you, I now know which Sephora location to avoid. Hopefully this review saves someone else the same experience. Have a wonderful day, Ms. Ali. And don’t forget to look at the picture. Turns out it was possible after all!

  Dorinda is an absolute WIZARD with shade matching - she spent so long with me and my friend yesterday who are from Ireland and needed some very very pale foundation 🤣 she took her time, got the shades absolutely perfect, recommended skin prep, got us signed up for free gifts and honestly we had the best experience we have ever had in a shop / customer service. I cannot recommend this place enough and Dorinda is an absolute gem - thank you!

  I hesitated to leave this review because several months have passed, but this is probably the worst Sephora location I’ve ever visited. I’m sure there are pleasant, helpful employees here, but across two visits, I felt like asking for assistance was bothering people. The first time, I came in planning to splurge after getting a job promotion. I wasn’t properly greeted, and I noticed two or three employees standing together talking about their day. I browsed for roughly 10–15 minutes without anyone asking whether I needed help. During that time, a woman who appeared to be experiencing homelessness came in carrying several bags. She told me she had a date that night and asked my opinion on a makeup color. We started talking, and she eventually began helping me figure out my own product preferences. That was when an employee suddenly stepped in. The staff seemed bothered by her presence and treated her like a disturbance, even though she had simply been talking with me and trying to help. From my perspective, their urgency was about getting her to move along, and helping me came as part of that. It was uncomfortable to realize another customer had shown me more attention than the employees had until that point. Once they started assisting me, they were helpful with shade matching and choosing specific products. I left with quite a few things, but the service never felt particularly warm. It felt obligatory, and the way the interaction began stayed with me. About a month later, I returned after a long, hot day because I was concerned that my concealer and powder were separating. I asked an employee whether she could tell, and she initially just stared at me in confusion. When she did help, her manner felt reluctant and unfriendly. Once again, I left feeling like I had inconvenienced someone by asking a basic makeup question. I don’t expect employees to hover, but I do expect a greeting, some attentiveness, and a willingness to help without making customers feel uncomfortable for asking. I’m not saying every employee here is the same, but I experienced enough reluctance across both visits that I would not recommend this particular location.
