I'm not sure where the lack of flow comments comes from, maybe if do a lot of the add ons? But the basics message flows well and is quite relaxing. The spa water is delicious. The central shared pool has a nice breeze and view. The sauna was a little cramped, but the steam room is amazing. The cold plunge tub was not great. Overall it's a good spa. Not great, but good.

I was a bit disappointed with my visit, as it did not match my experience at the rest of the resort. Although both technicians were talented, there was a lack of sincere warmth and hospitality. As a Four Seasons spa, I encourage the team to reevaluate the environment and setting, as they do not match the top-notch experience the other parts of the resort offer.
I visited the Spa at Four Seasons Calistoga with high expectations, given the reputation and setting. While the grounds and atmosphere are beautiful and the staff was genuinely very nice and welcoming, the massage itself was underwhelming.
The pressure was fine, but there was very little flow to the treatment. The movements felt choppy and disconnected, which made it difficult to fully relax or get into that calm, restorative state you hope for during a massage. I never quite settled in, even as the session went on.
The price is what you would expect at a luxury resort like this, but unfortunately the experience didn’t match the cost. For a Four Seasons spa, I expected a more cohesive, intuitive treatment and a higher level of technical polish. I might return to enjoy the property, but I’d be hesitant to book another massage unless there are improvements in consistency and overall execution.

Had a disappointing experience at Spa Talisa. The grounds were gorgeous and the masseuses were wonderful, but the overall experience was a let down.
We booked two Terrafirma massages ahead of time but did not receive a confirmation email (it turns out the email address they had was incorrect, otherwise I would have let them know that one of the massages being a Serenity massage was incorrect).
My friend had requested a male masseuse as he prefers more pressure but was booked with a woman and got the wrong massage.
We specifically booked the 80 minute massages due to the inclusion of the mud experience but were never offered them and when we inquired at check out were told we had to specifically ask for it.
We were told ahead of time that the women’s stream room was closed for construction but the men’s was also not working when we arrived. Not only was the women’s steam room out of commission, there was a black tarp in the steam room with workers on the other side, which was far from relaxing.
At check out when we shared feedback we were first offered a small discount but ultimately asked for 20%.
Given the multitude of let-downs this still does not feel sufficient considering we booked $400 massages and the Four Seasons is supposed to be a luxury experience.
