  I rarely leave reviews, but felt it was necessary to suggest folks be a little cautious with this business. I have always had great experiences communicating with Kevin. He is the nicest guy and easy to chat with regarding scheduling and such. When it comes to the actual work being done on the car, I've had 3 negative experiences so far at separate times: Once, I went in because my tires kept leaking. They couldn't figure out the issue and reported that they had cleaned the rims. I went to a tire shop next and they said the rims were a mess. They showed me the rim in person and I could see that there was tons of buildup and gunk that hadn't been cleaned at all. Next, I had Monroe try to fix a fuel refilling issue on the car where the car was falsely reporting a full tank and not letting me add gas. Monroe tried to fix it and couldn't. I went to a different shop and they said it was just cobwebs in the fuel tank, fixed it easily. I stopped going to Monroe for a while, but recently needed a quicker appointment, so I scheduled again with Monroe for my yearly car inspection. After finishing the inspection, they listed out a ton of recommended services that would have added a ton to the cost. They weren't totally necessary changes and all related to changing filters, wheels, and some battery maintenance to take off corrosion they said was on the battery. Filters and wheels were not a bad recommendation, but I checked out the battery with my dad and there was no corrosion on it. What is interesting is that out of all the problems they reported and after doing an emission inspection, they never noticed that one of my spark plugs was completely wrecked along with a coil that was rotting out (see images). The very next day after my inspection, I got stuck on the side of the rode after an engine misfire. A quick trip to Advanced Auto Parts and a free engine test showed that the Emissions health status failed (see image). I'm not sure why that wasn't noticed during my inspection. Yes, service is friendly (though recently tricky to call since they adopted an AI phone service), but I have lost trust that they are actually doing good work on my car.

  Got a screw in my tire & was losing air fast. Was able to get to Monroe & they took the screw out , plugged it up & I was on my way in less than 20 minutes.. with no charge😀

  Kevin helped us with tire repair. We came from Canada and Kevin took care of it. What an amazing experience! Highly highly recommended!!

  Kevin the manager is incredible I have been coming here at least 6 years I stopped in with a broken side mirror he told me to buy the part and they will put it on.. Kevin had it replaced in 10 minutes and did not charge me a penny..His team of professionals are top notch and they will never steer you wrong... please do yourself a favor and check out Monro on South Queen st in York.. you won't be disappointed
