They usually have what I need and the prices are fine. I knocked off a couple of stars because they're frequently under staffed or staff on hand isn't really able to help. Some of the employees are great, but it is hit and miss. I've also been in a couple of times to drop off used oil only to be told they're not accepting any at the moment. Seems to be due to poor planning and is inconvenient for me. Over all it's fine. Prices are ok and it's usually well stocked.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle.
