The staff here is so kind and professional. My 87-year-old mom told me the low tire pressure sensor kept going off in her car. She believed there was a slow leak in a tire. I took her car to Dave Custer and his team at Mavis Tire in Thorndale. They checked all the tires and sprayed them to look for leaks. Tires were fine. They said no charge! Then as I’m driving back to my mom’s house, I hear a scraping sound. I stop and look under the car and see a plastic flap dragging. I call Mavis, they say bring it right back, even though they are closed. It’s 6:30 pm! They discover that when my mom got an oil change at a dealership, they broke the flap/hatch and used zip ties and tape to close it. No bolts! The bolts were missing! Dave and his team put bolts in place, securing it. Again, free of charge and after hours. They were super nice and polite and attentive.

Finally passing on the positive experience with my daughter. We went in this morning to get her first used car some new kicks. The guys there were warm and took their time to explain to her the options available without being pushy selling; even though almost all the bays were full of vehicles.

It took almost 4 hours to do my oil change. I didn’t think it would be a risk for just swapping oil on a Saturday morning. After 2 hours they said they couldn't figure out how to reset my service indicator. After I received my car back after 4 hours my wife took the car out for a quick drive and she said it drove poorly. I then took it for a quick drive and the transmission was shifting horribly. I drove it again to see if it went away and the car said transmission fault and went into limp mode. I brought the car back this morning and they said no one was there that could help me. Now I have to take it to Jaguar for diagnostic just for an oil change and it’s unsafe to drive because it nearly stalls when shifting gears. Update: Mavis accidentally drained my transmission fluid and didn't tell me. I drove the car with little to no transmission fluid and now my car is parked at the dealership. Update: Mavis paid for the repairs to my car and stood behind the mistake.

I had an appointment at 11:00 AM for an oil change and to have my tires checked. I confirmed the appointment via text and a phone call. I showed up for my scheduled appointment, only to be told they were closing early because the employee working was the only person there, was too busy, and had already worked on several cars.
I understand that unexpected circumstances happen, but no one bothered to call and let me know my appointment was being canceled. I drove there expecting the service I had scheduled, only to find out when I arrived that it wasn’t going to happen.
If an appointment needs to be canceled or the business needs to close early, customers with scheduled and confirmed appointments should be given the common courtesy of a phone call so they don’t waste their time making the trip. Very disappointing experience and terrible communication.
