  I have never in my life and will never again suffer the existence of a business worse than this. Every step has been extremely difficult. I called in need of a truck with a fifth wheel hitch that could pull my camper. Carly calls me to confirm my appointment and reiterates the truck is fifth wheel ready. Then she waits until the day before to tell me that it’s actually a gooseneck hitch. I had to explain that those are not interchangeable to her and the manager of a COMMERCIAL TRUCK RENTAL place. I go out and get a component to convert my RV to gooseneck from fifth wheel so I could have the convenience of a rental truck when I need it. Fast forward some months and I call again to get a rental, this time with a gooseneck hitch. I figure this should be easy as I already learned the hard way that they have a truck capable of this. Unfortunately for me Carly answers the phone again and when I ask for a rental she says, “We don’t have any right now,” and nothing else. Now usually a normal person would say something like “I don’t have any right now let me see when one will be available,” but I have to pull teeth every time I call this place. So I ask when one will be available and she says “I’m not sure.” Okay awesome, that was incredibly useful, thank you so much. I give up on that endeavor. Fast forward one more month and I am in need of a rental once again lucky me. Begrudgingly I call this place yet again but this time a different person picks up and I think maybe my luck has turned around. Someone named Kyle answers the phone. I tell Kyle I’m in need of a truck with a gooseneck hitch and he says “we don’t have one right now but I’ll check when one will be available. We currently have one in the shop. I’m not sure when it’ll be out, but I’ll try to get an update on it. I will also call other stores to see if they have a truck you can use.” This is amazing. This is the way you’re supposed to interact with customers. He calls back and tells me the enterprise in Allentown has the truck that I need and is gooseneck capable, emphasis on CAPABLE. I finally feel a glimmer of hope but as quickly as it arrives, it is shot down like Bambi’s mother. The day of my rental comes and he tells me he’s going to pick up the truck, but Allentown just informed him that while the truck is gooseneck capable it does not actually have the gooseneck hitch inside and that if I intend to use this truck, I will have to go out and get my own hitch and install it myself. This is unfortunate for me and Kyle as I believe he’s the only employee who is even remotely capable of doing anything in the entire establishment and this didn’t seem to be his fault. Alas, I am not going to buy a $300 kit for a truck I don’t own and then spend my rental time installing and uninstalling this kit so I decline to continue the transaction. I would sooner do squats until I can lift the front of the RV myself than try to get another truck from these people. Good grief.

  Excellent place to rent any truck you might need to get the job done. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and the stroudsburg location manager David went above and beyond to make the experience excellent. Thanks enterprise.
