Extremely disappointing experience with Conicelli Toyota of Springfield
I purchased a brand-new 2026 Toyota Sienna from Conicelli Toyota of Springfield on June 19. Unfortunately, what should have been an exciting new-car purchase turned into weeks of repeated trips, contradictory information (lies), and frustration.
Shortly after taking delivery, I discovered that there were parts left in the glove compartment that had apparently never been installed. More concerning, I noticed numerous air bubbles within the windshield glass. These are issues I would have expected to be caught during the dealer's pre-delivery inspection.
I returned to the dealership on June 23 and worked with George in the service department. After spending nearly a full day there, I was told that the windshield did indeed have a manufacturing defect and needed to be replaced. Since a replacement windshield had to be ordered, I would need to make another trip back.
Nearly a month later, I was told that the windshield had arrived, and I scheduled the replacement for July 19. When I arrived at the dealership, however, I was told that the company that installs the windshields was not available that day. I had made the trip for nothing.
At that point, I spoke with a manager about my frustration. He apologized for the inconvenience and promised me a cargo liner as compensation, which I was told would be installed when I returned for the windshield replacement. I verified with the service manager the part number of the cargo liner which is the tri-fold cargo liner designed for Sienna.
I came back yet again on July 21. The windshield was finally replaced, but I was then told that the promised cargo liner still had to be ordered and that I would need to return to the dealership again to pick it up. I politely asked George whether they could simply ship it to me, given how many unnecessary trips I had already made. He immediately told me they don't ship parts. Only after I asked to speak with his manager did he come back and tell me that they could, in fact, ship it.
Unfortunately, that wasn't the end of it.
On July 29, I still hadn't received the cargo liner, so I called the dealership. Ian told me that it had already been delivered to the dealership and should be shipped to me the following day.
By August 5, I still hadn't received anything. I called again, and this time George told me they didn't have the cargo liner yet and that it was supposed to arrive the next day—directly contradicting what I had been told on July 29. He promised it would be shipped to me the next day.
On the morning of August 7, I called again. George once again promised that it would be shipped that day and that I would receive a tracking number. When no tracking number arrived, I called back later that day. After being put on hold for nearly half an hour, I was finally given a tracking number.
The package arrived on August 8.
They sent me the wrong cargo liner. It doesn't even fit a Toyota Sienna.
At that point, I gave up.
What bothers me most isn't simply that the original vehicle had a defective windshield. Manufacturing defects happen, and I understand that. What made this experience so frustrating was how Conicelli Toyota of Springfield handled everything afterward: issues that apparently weren't caught before delivery, repeated trips to the dealership, an appointment scheduled when the installer wasn't available, contradictory information about the cargo liner, repeated promises that required me to keep following up, and finally being sent a part that doesn't even fit the vehicle they sold me.
I gave them multiple opportunities over nearly two months to make a relatively straightforward situation right. Instead, each attempt seemed to create another inconvenience.
After this experience, I have no desire to deal with Conicelli Toyota of Springfield again.

I purchased my Toyota Camry at Conicelli Toyota of Springfield. Overall it was a GREAT experience. Usually, when I purchase a new car, I abhor the waiting around while managers and finance people waste my time. First, my sales person, Tommy was there the whole time. I told him what I wanted and he found it. Then when the vehicle finally arrived, yes, I did have to wait a silly amount of time to finalize with the Finance Mgr. However, Kyle, the finance guy was outstanding. I had issues with my physical home address which needed to be changed. Kyle worked with me the entire time, getting in touch with the Colorado DMV and changing what needed to be changed. He was wonderful and his attention to good customer service has helped make this one of the best car-buying experiences I have ever had. I always brought my old car (Toyota Avalon) to your business for service. Now I can say I am a happy, satisfied full-time customer. I will continue to use Conicelli Toyota for my auto needs. Thank you.
