Oil is the lifeblood of every standard vehicle on the road. It's crucial to regularly check your oil and schedule oil change service for your car to ensure it runs properly. Regular service also allows us to check for leaks in your engine that could shorten your vehicle's lifespan and lead to other avoidable problems.
Rotating your vehicle's tires is important for maintaining and managing treadwear on your tires, and in some cases is required in order to preserve your tires' warranty.
We can service, replace, and repair exhaust systems, catalytic converters, tailpipes, and mufflers. Ensuring these systems are working properly is key to elongating the life of your vehicle and maintaining optimal performance.
Proper wheel and tire alignment helps your car's tires last longer, increases fuel economy, and improves your vehicle's handling. Our highly-trained tire alignment experts are ready to provide you the reliable, quality service you need to get back on the road.
Your vehicle's shocks, struts, and suspension are key components to ensure your vehicle's performance and a more comfortable ride. As such, it's important to properly maintain these components on your vehicle.
Nothing ruins a day faster than a dead car battery. Many factors could lead to your car not starting — a bad battery, failed alternator, or worn-out starter are just a few examples.
Our highly-trained auto technicians and mechanics have decades of experience diagnosing, repairing, and replacing worn out car batteries. We understand how important a reliable car battery is for your car or truck to run and operate reliably. Every car battery replacement and installation we perform uses trusted brands and comes with a limited warranty on parts and service.
There's not much worse than getting in your car, turning that key and seeing that little exclamation point icon telling you that you have low tire pressure. But if you just filled up your tires yesterday and you're still seeing that warning, it may be time to replace your vehicle's TPMS sensor.

I visited Mavis Tire on West Market St. in Scranton on 01/18/2026 for tire replacement on my 2017 Ford Escape AWD.
The shop installed two tires in the wrong size (225/55R17 instead of the required 235/55R17). AWD vehicles require the correct, matching tire sizes.
After the installation, I began hearing drivetrain noise and later had to replace the driveshaft. Another repair shop found the incorrect tire size and advised that it may have contributed to the drivetrain issue.
I have the invoice and photos documenting the incorrect tires and the vehicle's door sticker showing the correct size. I contacted Mavis customer service to try to resolve the issue but never received a response.
I'm sharing my experience so other AWD owners remember to double-check that the correct tire size is installed before leaving the shop.

went for full an alignment and tire balance, left with a steering wheel still way off center and wobbling tires after 60mph, they said they couldn't align the rear wheels because the camber bolts were rusted(they werent) and they still charged me for a 4 tire alignment. later went to Kost auto and they fixed all the problems without any issues, and confirmed that they never balanced my tires to begin with, also Mavis charges $25 a tire for balancing, which is more than any other place. and also the attendant was impatient and rude, they will NEVER get my business again
