  Made a reservation for 8am when they open to have oil change, tire rotation, PA state inspection and emissions done for my wife's suv. I checked with the person at the counter that all those services were on the reservation and would get done. This was confirmed. I called at 2:30pm and it was just then getting an oil change. And this person on the phone says the inspection and emissions are not on the order. And even if it was they "didnt have an inspector there today". Went to pickup and the person at the desk was the same that confirmed with me in the morning the services. I asked why I could not get the inspection and emissions. He gave some reason with almost no detail that their "system was messed up across the company" and then said "thats the government for you". So blamed a technical error on their end but then the government. Then to top it off the oil change cost more for the suv than it costs for my Ram with a Hemi. The communication was bad to nonexistent. Why was I not contacted when an error "with the system" was apparent? Why was I not contacted when our vehicle was done with the oil change/tire rotation? Why did it take 6 1/2 hours to get around to an 8am appointment? They had our vehicle for their entire business day and did not communicate or apologize for the inconvenience. They deflected blame and charged a high oil change price.

  Nick helped me with getting a new battery for my 2023 VW GTI. After close to 80k in miles my battery's time had come. I had asked my dealership the cost to replace and it was well over $600 bucks. I called and asked Nick, he quoted me less than $400. Exact same quality of battery and the required reprogramming that all 2020 and newer vehicles need. I usually take my car to the dealer i bought from and have them change the oil and other services that i do not own the tools for or just plan and simple dont want to do it. Even at the dealership i usually wait for about 2 to 4 hours for a simple service of oil and filter replacement. Benefit is im not dirty and im not jacking up this low profile car and praying the $50 jacks from harbor frieght dont fail and kill me. Most idiots today prolly dont understand the effort that goes into fixing and maintaining a safe and functional vehicle with how incredibly complex they are now. Especially some of the 1 star reviews this page has recieved. They do not accurately reflect the compassion and attention to details that these technicians take to work each day to fix your car you rely on to put food on your table and get your kids things. Having 6 people with the same last name post the exact same review is not getting you anywhere. Grow up. Nick and every other technician at the garage are willing to make sure that not only does your requested services get taken care of but you get a FREE multipoint inspection where they may find out in 500 miles you and your only mode of transportation my be stuck on the side of the road begging your insurance or AAA to come tow your butt to a garage that is prolly half a decent as they are here. When they reccomend a service take it to heart. They are looking out for you. Because these techs actually care. If you want to know your car is cared for and it will last take it to Nick and his technicians here.

  I highly recommend Mavis Discount Tire at 3108 Cape Horn Road in Red Lion. My first experience with them was when I picked up a slow leak in one of my truck tires from a screw that had lodged in the tread. I stopped in without an appointment, and even though they were busy, they worked me into their schedule, plugged the tire, and had me back on the road while I waited. The service was great, and the price was very reasonable. My second experience really showed me what kind of business this is. I got a flat on one of the front tires of my zero-turn mower and brought the tire in. I asked if they could install a tube because this was the second time that particular tire had gone flat. The manager explained that they didn't have the proper equipment to install a tube in a tire that small. However, rather than simply turning me away, he offered to repair the tire, remount it, and re-inflate it. I told my wife afterward, "This is service like it used to be—when people actually tried to take care of their customers." That experience sold me as a customer. I'm actually headed back today to have four new tires installed on my Honda Passport. That's how much confidence they've earned in just two visits. Great service, fair prices, helpful people, and—most importantly—a genuine willingness to take care of the customer. I highly recommend this Mavis location!

  Do NOT take your vehicle here for tires. Couple of months ago my husband took my car in for 2 new front tires, had an appointment and waited 3 hours! Tonight my husband took my car in for 2 more new tires. 2 hours later and I’m missing both plastic wheel well shields, they scratched my rim, broke my lug nuts and replaced them with all different sized lug nuts. Guess I’ll have to carry a tool box around in case of a flat. Husband called about the shields missing and was told he’d have to talk to corporate to have them look at the cameras. They also for some reason checked my battery (not sure why they were even under the hood of my car) said my brand new battery was low. Had to be low bc they left my trunk open the entire time they worked on it with my lights on. Terrible experience.

  Dropped car off for an oil change. They call me to tell me I need to flush my brakes and a few others things calling it updating me on the services. I said I want an oil change thats it, when the cars done they didnt bother to call me since I didnt pay extra for an oil change. After hour key drop lands straight on the concrete with your key fob. So instead of doing the requested work without trying to up charge me, you've lost putting tires and new brakes on my truck. Id never go back to this place, on any other places owned by this corporation.
