Most recently, I had an appointment for an alternator replacement with nearly a weeks notice, two and a half business days after dropping the car off I had not heard anything from Carrs and was told they had not started the work yet when I called due to being busy with customer inspections. The work was completed 5 days after dropping the car off but the bill differed from the quote quite a bit. The quote states [includes: test] under the Alternator, and I had asked them to test the used alternator I supplied before installing, being under the impression that testing was included as many places like Autozone, O’reilly and Advance Auto offer free alternator testing but the testing was billed as a separate line item. I asked about this during pickup and was given an answer I didn’t really understand. The techs perform high quality work but I would have appreciated a bit more communication and transparency from Carrs.
