I went to Valvoline for what should be the simplest service on a car—an oil change. Somehow that basic job was completely mishandled. A few months later, I started having serious transmission issues on my performance car. After diagnosing everything, it turns out the wrong oil amount was used—about 13 quarts when my engine only takes 5.3. That is not a small mistake, that is catastrophic negligence. How does a “professional” oil change shop not know the correct capacity for a vehicle? That’s literally the most basic part of the job. This isn’t some complicated custom engine swap—it’s an oil change. The result for me has been thousands of dollars in damage and a failing valve body/transmission costing me $2700 in repairs!!! That was never an issue before this service. It is extremely frustrating knowing that something this simple could be done so carelessly and lead to major mechanical failure months later. I trusted this place with my vehicle and instead ended up dealing with major repairs that never should have happened. Completely unprofessional, careless, and unacceptable for a business that advertises quick and correct service. I would strongly advise anyone to double-check everything if you go here—or better yet, go somewhere that actually pays attention to what they’re doing.
