  Went there to get front brake pads replaced. I know the USUAL cost for the pads I prefer as well as the general cost for the labor/timeframe too. 1 hour labor & $50 pads. The rear brakes didn't need replacement being 2 months old & the calipers and rotors weren't damaged AT ALL. Brakes hadn't been grinding and they were good 2 go. 1- the tech quotes me $689/parts & labor plus tax. (I had NO CHOICE, needed done asap for work, regular mechanic was on vacation for a month. Rock & a hard place) 2- tech tells me upon picking up my vehicle that they had replaced the pads,calipers & rotors FRONT & REAR without even ATTEMPTING to speak with me via text, phone call, email, not even a voicemail since there was no call attempted regarding the front brake pad replacement job I grudgingly agreed to despite the insane price of the job. 3- Upon informing the cashier/tech/manager plus a couple others(in that order)in person AND on the PHONE that I had not been informed of the extra work THEY SAID was"needed" & did NOT give approval for the work to be started much less completed. They refused to show me the "damaged rotors calipers and pads", so I pointed out the little sentence on their paperwork that states "No work started without customer approval". I was told they HAD TO perform the work because they couldnt "Legally allow the vehicle to leave their shop in that condition in case I had an accident and tried to sue them." I refused to pay for the extra work they did. How much, you ask? Roughly around $1800!!!! For pads, calipers,rotors replaced front & back on a 2018 Honda Accord in 2023. Notwithstanding the FACT that I did NOT NEED anything but front, mid-grade brake pads replaced with same pads from the same manufacturer. THEN, WAAAAY after I pitched an actual FIT I finally had my husband and brother come back with me, literally AFTER 4 days arguing with them,since they wouldn't release my vehicle to me. My husband is a lawyer and my visiting brother a mechanic for BMW. Still cost me frikin roughly $800. Go in for an oil change they're gonna tell you that your engine blew the head gasket, fr. THAT actually HAPPENED to a neighbor of mine before we moved to the area! This happened a few years ago but I got "recommended" Mr. Tire & I got heated.

  They over charge called Mr tire for break pad and rotors for the rear they tried to charge me 800 I called another mechanic down the street they said 275$ best bet is to go to a different mechanic any other option is better than them only reason I’m giving 2 stars is because they changed an alternator I bought and had them put it in

  Needed a quick remount of a tire to my rim. Mike was very helpful and was able to complete the task quickly and economically.

  I regularly use the Mr. Tire on Freeport Road in Pittsburgh and couldn’t be happier with the service they provide. Professional, thorough, efficient, and prompt. Mike and his team are terrific!

  Manager Mike & assistant manager Josh, were extremely helpful with recommending tires for my vehicle. I gave them specifics- all weather, quiet, and good for rain-low hydroplaning as PGH roads can easily flood, how much I wanted to spend per tire amd total with labor. Mike suggested a great option from Goodyear and told me he could fit me in later that day. Josh handled everything from there. The service was friendly, courteous, and quick- under 2 hours. I had gone to NTB North Hills and didn't have a wheel lock for my tires- my fault. But two of the guys there were extremely weird as I was looking for the wheel key asking about my shoes- the brand of my shoes- I was dressed casually wearing shirts, a tshirt & Birkenstocks, then they quizzed me if I owned an Hermes Birken Bag/ Louis Vuitton Bags- how much they cost etc. As a woman all my information is in my car on my registration and honestly I didn't feel safe being asked such odd questions about things that had zero to do with tires and alignment. I left and never went back after getting my wheel lock. I am glad I ended up a Mr. Tire in FC because I felt safe, respected, and valued as a customer. Thank you Josh & Mike for a great experience!
