  I like that they have same day availability to do inspections. However they failed my car for rear brake pads and shocks telling me the pads were "metal on metal" a literal zero for thickness, and telling me the bushings were worn/damaged on the shocks. I took the car home, jacked it up, took off the brake pads and shocks, and there was still >2mm on all the pads hence no squeeling, no metal on metal and should not fail a PA inspection. The shocks' bushings were 100% perfect, no damage or wear, no leaks either. I am tempted to issue a complaint to the PA inspections authority. However the pads were low enough that I replaced them anyway and the shocks were in fact older so I replaced those too, and took the car back for a speedy reinspection which I appreciated. The estimates for the repairs from Monro seemed high to me but I guess that is pretty common these days and the reason I like to do the work myself. As an example, their estimate was around $1600 for this work, I got quality parts (ceramic pads, fully coated rotors, new shocks) with good reviews for under $300 and did the work in about 3 hours. Is $1600 reasonable for this? I don't know...

  Horrible experience. They have damaged our vehicles several times. They clearly don’t know what they are doing and they do nothing but lie. I drove my car in and they damaged is so badly they said I’d need a crane to get it home. DO NOT GO THERE. For a diagnostic to see if an alignment was needed they took the whole car apart in depth and broke costly parts.

  We have been having issues with our car so we took it to Monroe to get it diagnosed. They told us the issue was the shocks so we got those fixed and it wasn’t the issue. We then had it diagnosed by my father in law instantly after getting it up off four wheels as something he said should have been obvious and not missed. When we called Monroe to tell them they said that they couldn’t help us. We had taken an 8 hour trip in a car not informed what the issues were and relying on incomplete information from Monroe and we are extremely disappointed.
