There's 3 people working, and I'm the ONLY customer in the store. I ask the woman at the counter if she could assist me with purchasing the battery, and have one of the guys (who were Googling something!) install it for me. (That's right....I know about the free installation!), to which she said, "We don't have time right now. I can't leave the counter, and they work on the other side". I'm like, "What???" THEN she said (and I'm dead serious!), "Auto Zone is just another block down the street. They can do it." And that's EXACTLY what I did! I drove down to Auto Zone, and received the BEST.SERVICE.EVER!!! Thank you, Auto Zone associate Bryant R., who found time to even check my old battery to make sure I wasn't wasting money! I've spent my last dollar in Advance Auto!!!

HOW DO BRAKES WORK?

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
