- OEOne Nation ExplorationOct 28, 20261.0My battery died before i had to go to work. So on my break I drove my company vehicle over to get a battery (it was sold to me by the GM) and then after work I had a buddy drive me to my car. Basically, the GM sold me a used dead battery. My car wouldnt start after it was installed. So ihad to uninstall it and get my friend to drive me back (of course they had no more batteries of that type in stock). So I got a refund, then went to a different store. I got a new battery and the car started right up. I wont go there ever again. I wasted my break and my buddys time and thankfully I had enough money in my acct to buy two batteries until the refund went through.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward.
