  Eliud was extremely professional, efficient, and friendly. He provided explanation on everything he was doing, made a few suggestions but didn't try to upsell, and was quite efficient and knowledgeable. I greatly appreciated him looking over my car prior to a long trip and giving me a 'green light' that things were looking good. Lastly, I appreciate Jacob D helping, especially during a heat wave and having to work in difficult conditions. Thank you again and I'll definitely return because of this positive experience.

  The manager there was verbally aggressive and would not listen to my concerns or let me speak about. However the technician that worked with me named Austin W was very friendly and did listen to my concerns. He was very professional and courteous.

  I had a very frustrating experience with Valvoline. I initially went to the Lancaster location for an oil change on my truck. The staff there was polite and informed me they did not have the oil my truck requires in stock. Wanting to still use my coupon and stay within the Valvoline network, I decided on my own to drive to the Mount Joy location to see if they had what I needed. When I arrived at the Mount Joy location, I explained that I had just come from the Lancaster location because they didn’t have my oil. After checking, the staff told me they had the correct oil but did not have the correct oil filter. They suggested I purchase the filter myself from a nearby parts store. I did exactly that and returned with the filter, only to be told that they had made a mistake and actually did not have my oil after all. At that point, I had to make a second trip to the parts store to purchase my own oil as well. By the time everything was done, I had made multiple unnecessary trips back and forth, purchased all the required materials myself, and still wasn’t able to use any service coupons because the shop wasn’t providing the full oil change service. Mistakes happen, but inventory should be verified before customers are sent out to purchase parts. What should have been a simple oil change turned into multiple trips between businesses, extra time spent, and no cost savings whatsoever. While the staff remained courteous throughout the process, the overall experience was disappointing and could have been avoided with better communication and inventory management. Update: my oil started leaking after it was changed, and upon some research, found they forgot to put the washer/gasket on the oil plug. I needed a whole new oil change to fix their mistake. I will not be returning to this location after the service received.
