He upsold us on a product telling about a guarantee, then helped us install the product when he saw we had some trouble putting the part on our car. This is the best customer service i have ever had at advanced auto. Please give him a par on the back for great service.

I identified the incorrect bulb and the guy with the beard that works totally blew me off after he looked in the computer for the correct part. Then the other associate actually came from behind the counter to look at my issue then stated it wasn't his problem and they with have to get a sensor out to determine if I had a bad fuse and when I said that was fine he stood there and looked at me. I asked for the GM by name to talk to and they didn't even check and just said he was busy. Unless your are are a gear head go anywhere else. Customer service sucks. After reading the comment from advanced auto which seems to mirror all their other responses I totally stand behind my my observations. Go to west main auto. And to whom replied to my comment, you didn't acknowledge anything. Do better

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
