- JBJosh BMay 31, 20264.0I purchased an add-a-circuit fuse box item here and didn’t realize it was already opened and missing pieces from someone opening it in the store until after I arrived home. I returned to the store to return the item or ask for an exchange and the manager refused to return the item despite the missing pieces and argued that there is a no-return policy for electrical components in the store. However the policy was on a sign facing backwards in the store away from customers, making it impossible to read. It also does not state that you can’t return the item anywhere on the receipt. In fact, it says if the item is defective it can be returned within 30 days which it is since it’s missing pieces. Furthermore, when I originally bought the item I had to wait about 30 minutes for an employee to check me out. The employees seemed disinterested in helping me find the item I was looking for in the first place too. Terrible in-store customer service and unfair policies. Update: I contacted the main customer service line for advanced auto and they made things right. They gave me a store credit to cover the cost of the product and apologized for the poor in-store service.
- TTT TApr 17, 20261.0The hours are inaccurate. Extremely misleading and sloppy company. Scarce on parts, I had to go to a far away store just trying get a fuel injector. Tried to go here AGAIN at 8:36 and me and another customer knocked on the window til someone came and the worker claims Corporate has control over the lights to the store so the store closes before ANY OTHER STORE for some odd reason. I work in an office, nobody is going to sit at their desk til around 8 to press a button to turn off the lights the the store. It makes no sense and is highly unlikely. I will be reporting this store and worker to corporate as he wanted to get upset because we are there during store hours.

HOW DO BRAKES WORK?

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
