Very disappointed with the lack of communication. My Mazda was at the dealership for almost a whole month after being dropped off. Had to call/text multiple times to ask for a status/update on the progress. I was informed that the parts needed were on back order. On one of the days the part was to arrive I had called in to ensure the part was there. I was then placed on Hold for a few minutes to be told that the part was not here yet. (This felt that the part was never ordered to begin with) . So another week goes by and another part was needed. Was told that the following week the part would be there. Waited one whole week and one day for myself to reach out again asking for an update. I was then told “let me check and see when the ETA is” on a Thursday. It wasn’t until that following Monday i had enough of the lack of communication and transparency. I sent a text reporting my frustration and then later that same day I was told my car was ready for pickup. This was a horrible experience as a Mazda owner. Not knowing when my car would be completed and needing to accommodate another vehicle for almost a whole month. All of this was due to a Rear brake piston, rear brake pads, sanded the rotors. My original car battery was replaced during that time at the dealership. I already had purchased a new battery at the beginning of 2026. I was not charged for this battery however the service being made to my car drained the battery . Upon picking up my car after all the services were completed, my gas tank had 90 miles remaining and no detailing was done. A final bill just shy of 3k and the car sat at the dealership just a few days away from being a whole month. I would’ve thought that some courtesy or gesture for the lack of communication and weeks without a vehicle would have been accommodated. Instead nothing was done or offered for the inconvenience but they completed a recall on the car while it was there. The day my car was dropped off I received a text message from someone at the dealership interested in purchasing my car. In that text I was given an estimate of 11k-12k . This had peaked my interest so I continued the conversation . This lead to them asking me to stop in someday for my car to be evaluated for an appraisal. I was very confused… so I then responded and asked them.. “do I need to be onsite if my car is already there to be serviced?” Which they had no idea that my car was not there….. however I did not need to be present for them to give me an appraisal value. After the weekend and the appraisal was completed I received an email stating due to the condition of the car while it’s being serviced that they felt comfortable offering me 1k to purchase the car. I replied back mentioning that I had planned on paying for the service to be completed and asked if the value would then change after everything was fixed. I received no response.. radio silent . So I decided not to engage any further. At this point I am very discouraged and frustrated with this whole experience. I have learned that there’s no communication between departments. No transparency. I was treated like a number and not like a customer . It is very sad that I had to go through something like this to write a review due to the fact that I felt my voice would not be heard over a telephone or text message. Instead it has lead me to write this review.

I originally brought my 2013 Mazda 3 into here for a published technical service bulletin repair that required a PCM update. Todd was assisting me, and when he realized their systems were going to take 3 hours to complete the flash, he proactively asked if there was a day I could just drop the vehicle off and offered a loaner. When I came in for the rescheduled appointment, the loaner was ready and waiting for me. Completely seamless experience. I also asked them to diagnose a difficulty I was having with disengaging my clutch in the mornings, and I was quoted $200 for the diagnostic labor. The communication here was excellent; they sent me a video showing exactly what was going on, which perfectly matched my own suspicions. Here is where they lose a star, though. I was sent a repair estimate for nearly $3,000. When I asked them to itemize the estimate, I found the exact same parts listed on another Mazda dealership's website with an MSRP of less than half of what Fred Beans was trying to charge me. I showed them this price difference, but they refused to match the other dealership. I refused the additional repair, as it is a job I can easily do myself and only spend $250 on parts rather than $2,900. To their credit, when I picked up my car, they removed the $200 diagnostic fee and only charged me for the PCM flash, which was a really nice gesture. Overall, the personal service from Todd and the team was incredible, but the price gouging on parts is wild. I highly recommend their customer service, but definitely do your research before approving major repairs.

Always a pleasure to visit Fred Beans Mazda. From Todd when I visited, I knew it would go smoothly. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. I simply waited until my car was ready, and then checked out with Todd, who explained the work that was preformed on my car… A very pleasant experience.

Had the best car buying experience with Jonathan today!! He made it so easy for me and also has a wonderful outgoing personality that made talking with him a breeze. I would definitely come back and purchase another car from him down the line and would recommend him to anyone looking to buy a mazda! I’m absolutely in love with my new CX5!
