- MGMelissa Galech3 days ago5.0Austin was our mechanic talking to us throughout the oil change. He was very patient with all of my dumb questions. We got the previous oil change with someone else that we thought was better because I had been there for a state inspection and they were very honest in saying there was nothing wrong with my car even though a third garage closer to me made up some $350+ story. Anyway, the previous oil change only lasted about 3 months then when we start the car the oil life would come up as 15% and it worried me. That had never happened before and the oil changes always lasted several months without the oil life coming up. We've had this car since 2020. The previous garage gave me two opposite sides of information whether or not I needed an oil change over the phone told me to come in then in person told me I didn't need it yet and they said my last oil change with them was full synthetic because I forgot to say I wanted a blend and he didn't ask. So we decided to go back to Valvoline to see if it lasts the usual amount of time. In any case, Austin was both very good at customer service and also a great mechanic! He deserves a raise! (just kidding, I know he just started with the company)
