He helped me find the correct wipers and even installed them for me! He also helped me find the correct coolant and he wanted to fill it but I knew he was busy. I greatly appreciated Andy’s expert advice and help. Fantastic customer service! 😊
- KHKimberly HansenJan 30, 20262.0I went in yesterday to get a new battery. Bought it no problem. When I asked about putting it in they said they couldn’t because they were the only one there. Should have told me that before I bought it. So I call around to 2 other locations. The first (Quarryville) tells me that they won’t do it because I didn’t buy it at that location AND that it’s 11 degrees out so they won’t do it. I called another location (Lancaster) they said they could do it but it wouldn’t be for 2 hours. I ended up just going to my regular mechanic and they told me that it isn’t even the right battery! Seriously disappointed with Advance.

Yes we do offer free battery installation on most products with purchase. We will also recycle and test your battery for free regardless if you bought it from us. Battery testing and installation is available at most of our locations.

Typically a car battery will last 2-5 years, with premium batteries lasting 5-6 years. But you should replace it every 4 years for safe measures if you want to avoid any unwanted problems.
What are the signs of a bad car battery?
Signs of a bad car battery can range from the need for frequent jump starts, slow to start, cranks or clicks but won't start, dash lights work but the vehicle won't start, etc.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
