  I had an extremely disappointing experience with Camping World of Harrisburg. Last year, I purchased a camper from this location. I put $3,000 down in cash and was told the camper would cost around $27,000. During the financing process, I was asked what I could comfortably afford each month, and I said around $400. After making my payments for just about a year, I contacted my finance company to find out my remaining balance. I was shocked to learn that I actually owe more than I originally financed. My financed amount was approximately $26,000, yet my payoff is now around $27,000 because of the way interest has accumulated. I also learned that interest is accruing at roughly $13 per day, meaning nearly all of my monthly payment is going toward interest instead of reducing the principal. Looking at the total cost over the life of the loan, I’ll end up paying roughly $20,000 in interest, bringing the total cost of this camper to around $47,000. I understand that I signed the financing agreement, and I accept responsibility for that. However, I genuinely don’t feel the long-term financial impact was explained in a way that I fully understood. Had I realized what the total cost of this loan would be, I never would have agreed to it. What pushed this experience from frustrating to unacceptable was my conversation with General Manager Brandon. I called hoping to discuss my concerns and see if there were any options available because I’m genuinely worried this loan could eventually damage my credit if I can no longer keep up with it. Instead of showing empathy or trying to help, Brandon interrupted me and said, “You’re talking to me like I’m an idiot.” I immediately explained that I wasn’t attacking him—I was simply frustrated, overwhelmed, and trying to understand my situation. Despite that, I felt dismissed and spoken to with very little respect. Customer service matters most when a customer has a problem. I wasn’t calling to argue—I was calling because I needed guidance. Instead, I left the conversation feeling even more discouraged. I hope Camping World of Harrisburg takes situations like this more seriously and that General Manager Brandon reflects on how customers are treated when they come to him looking for help. I also encourage anyone financing a camper to carefully read every detail of their loan agreement and make sure they understand the total cost of the financing—not just the monthly payment.

  Soooo we bought a newer camper last weekend. We paid the extra 1400.00 for a very thorough inspection. They were supposed to check every little thing making sure it was good to go. Well im here to tell you. They owe me 1400.oo. We found 5 things that was very obviously wrong. They fixed one. They didn't check a damn thing. All they did was clean it. Put some armor all on the tires and push it out the door. I will never buy from camping world again. I will tell all my friends not to buy from camping world. Nothing but a huge scam. Get the money. And forget the customer. Pisses me off.

  The workers are not pleasant and refuse to take any accountability for damages on their end. Costing me hundreds of dollars out of pocket to pay for a mistake that they admittedly made. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Take your money elsewhere and don’t give these people the pleasure of your business. I’ve gone to several other businesses that go above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction and this place is not one of them.

  We had an excellent experience working with Kevin at Camping World. He went above and beyond to help us find the perfect camper, even scouring the country to make sure we got exactly what we were looking for. He was helpful, patient, knowledgeable, and made the whole process feel easy. We truly appreciate his dedication and would highly recommend asking for Kevin if you are looking for a camper.

  Working with Kevin Wormser was truly one of the best sales experiences we’ve ever had. He is thoughtful, diligent but not pushy, super friendly and knowledgeable, and patient. Kevin took the time to hear our needs, and lead us through the lot only showing us campers that checked most, if not all the boxes on our list. He paid special attention to our children and their needs too and that made them feel important and part of the process. It was a family affair which is what we wanted it to be! My husband wasn’t able to attend the first time, and Kevin got on a FaceTime with him at my request. He also set up a separate appointment for him and a follow up appointment for us all. We visited several other dealerships but ultimately returned because of Kevin and the experience of working with him, because he had our needs in mind, we enjoyed working with him, and we knew we could trust him. He even took the time to check in with us after our purchase. It’s also worth mentioning that everyone else we dealt with while there, from the management to the finance department to the sales and service team were also very polite, professional, thoughtful, and straightforward, which we very much appreciated. Kevin, thanks for everything, you’ll always be welcome at our campsite!
