Not to be dramatic but sometimes walking into an Auto store as a woman I get nervous because I don’t know too much about cars and have had bad experiences prior. So when I needed wipers on my VW Tiguan I went in Wednesday night. First I went to autozone and they said they didn't have any that fit right? So I tried the advance across the street and I was helped by two nice store associates Christian and Darren. They knew right away what I needed and was even able to put them on quickly. No more autozone for my family lol. I know where to go now!

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
