Five star experience. (Out of 5)
Drove my RV to the General for a 1130am appointment. Was out of the building by 230pm.
Initial vehicle courtesy inspection provided needed reminders for roof and generator maintenance needs.
Service techs cared about getting a fix implemented on my Rig. As I got feedback on fix options while I waited in a nice comfortable chair. Another local RV dealer failed twice to fix my issue over a six window of time. The other RV dealer even told me to take my problem somewhere else and “don’t come back”. They loaded the warranty
parts in my RV that they said were not the correct parts that Forest River supplied. Off to the General with the parts (Pete’s) said were not correct.
3 hours visit at the General. The parts were identified as correct and successfully installed.
I will certainly be back to General RV. Never retuning to the other one.

Before we left, our sales person (Nikkia) congratulated me on purchase of new RV. He asked if I could give him a 5 star review. Well, this review is for the overall experience. I will start by saying, Nikkia was ok. I knew more about RVs than he did. He told me the heat works off electric, when it clearly is propane. I'll give him 3 stars. Rob gets 5 stars in finance. The rest goes to the people in the maintenance bays. We've had a number of things than needed addressed. They either ignored them or masked them to appear like they did something like in the photo I posted. Every time I pull out slide out, I need to fix this. I'm not new to General RV, I bout my 1st on at the Tampa store which is a 5 star store. This store clearly doesn't have the same standards.

General RV in Elizabethtown, PA sent me home with my new RV with the wrong power cord/ receptacle and a broken black tank gate valve. Both obviously defective as I discovered the very next day after I got my rv home. I wouldn’t buy from them again. Terrible customer service. More than a month later I’m still trying to get the warranty work done by another Alliance dealer. I do not recommend buying from this dealership.

Went to General RV to purchase our very first camper, my husband & myself. What we thought was going to be a pleasant experience has not turned out to be that. The salesman that we dealt with was great! We worked the numbers, were informed we had to pay a pre delivery inspection fee as well as some other fees. Fine, we will pay the extra fees to make sure that our RV is in great working order when we pick up. We show up on pick up day, takes us 3 hours to work through the whole pick up service (were passed off to many different people). Made some purchases from the RV store & were told they could put these items in the camper for us. Great! After we finally get home (4 hours later) because we live almost an hour away, we notice the items we purchased were not in the camper 😠. So Saturday morning, we have to drive another hour there and another hour back to retrieve the items we already had paid for. Later that weekend, we go out to do some things in the camper and we notice when we turn the battery power switch on, there is no electric. My husband proceeds to do some testing (he is an electrician) and finds out there is no proper connection with the battery! We contact General RV and they tell us we are going to need to drive ANOTHER HOUR BACK to bring the RV back. That Friday we return with the RV so here we are leading into a weekend so now they can’t look at it until the following week. They determined that yes my husband is correct and the wiring to the battery is non existent/damaged. They file this under the warranty and receive the “ok” from Winnebago to make the repairs. Well, thank gosh because this is brand new 2026 RV. Now, back to the pre delivery inspection that I mentioned before, if the PDI was in fact completed, how did they miss that the electrical to the battery was no good? The electricity is a major component so I am having a hard time understanding if the PDI was even truly completed or was this just negligence on their behalf.. We paid $1,779 for an inspection to be completed that I very strongly feel was not and have been offered $500 as a “goodwill favor” A favor?!?! Maybe the favor should have been completing the PDI that WE PAID FOR! We were also told the hook ups & connections were already installed for the back up camera as well and when attempting to hook that up, we also found out that was false information. We have made several requests to the store manager to provide us with a copy of the PDI that was completed only to be told these are internal documents that they cannot supply to us and that when we signed off on buying the camper we bought it “as is”. As a consumer, I am very certain that I have a right to an itemized bill that I was charged a fee for. We have pursed getting a reimbursement through General Rv for a PDI that was not completed and that has been a joke. This dealership is horrible, the worst buying experience for first time RV purchasers and I 100% do NOT recommend anyone using them.
Purchased a used Grand Design and had an excellent experience with General RV center in Elizabethtown. From sales to deliver it was a smooth and enjoyable experience. Thanks to Doug in sales, Angel who show us how everything worked and did the pre deliver inspection with us. ( found a door hold open latch that was broken. They replaced before we left. No argument they just took care of it), Rob was great to work with in finance and Justin in service who showed me how the new hitch worked ( I was familiar with the older chain style weight distribution hitches but new blue ox is nice) I hope I remembered everyone's names correctly.
If you're looking for a new or used RV stop in and ask for Doug to show you what they have.
