I needed a battery that may have already been replaced, but Jeff the store manager tested and allowed me to take a new one. As always this store cares. Since I don't own a rice burner with a "bumble bee" muffler, squat kit and spoiler but rather a truck, I'll probably never see Auto zone again. Those other guys like rice burner cars. Thanks Advanced Auto for being the best and the super customer care all in one.

RecenMar 30, 20265.0first, made a mistake of going across the street to advance AutoZone and their salesperson wouldn't give me the online price and insisted on using the shelf price.. and refused to even scan at the same. what came up. when he eventually did it was the online price on the shelf. price was wrong only to have him say he knew it was wrong all the time?? then they gave me wrong information about another car part.. and when I made the mistake of asking them to do a check engine light scan, they had to do it a few times, came up with a different problem each time and recommended I buy a whole bunch of stuff. instead, I didn't get anything I'm left with nothing...I, went across the street to advanced Auto parts and was in and out in half the time, with nicer staff, people and much better quality merchandise -- and a much more accurate scan with a check engine light scanner! I'm going to go to advance Auto parts from now on.. their staff is friendlier and More efficient and worth a couple extra bucks more

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
