- AHAnn van HemertMay 8, 20265.0Ordering online and picking up at the store is so convenient! I was getting ready for my annual inspection, so I put items in the cart that I thought I needed. I went out and checked my lights and filters in the carport and then came back inside the house to make adjustments to the cart. A little while later I drove to the store where the items were ready for pickup, I even got a discount for ordering online! You can save so much money by replacing basic maintenance items yourself.

Late afternoon, on a Saturday I pulled into advance auto in Dillsburg Pa. They diagnosed my problem and called a mechanic for me. This mechanic happened to be an angel and the next day Which was a Sunday!!! This mechanic diagnosed and fixed my problem and only charged me $100. And I drove all the way to Florida with not a single problem. The two workers at this advance auto went above and beyond to help me in a very dire situation. If you’re having car trouble on your way to Florida, seek out this advance auto parts in Dillsburg. They will take care of you. I can’t say enough of how wonderful my experience was in my time of need.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
