  I’m not sure where to begin because we are so upset with the service department. We recently bought a 2026 Chevy Traverse and got the diamond coating. Mike sold us the car which we have no complaints about him he was great. He scheduled us for a 9 o’clock appointment on Friday, August 21,2026. The appointment was for an oil change and the diamond coating to be applied to the interior and exterior. The vehicle was dropped off at 8:50. Around 2:00 we called due to seeing the car had not moved all day and nothing had been completed at this point. At 2:30 they began working on the vehicle and told us we could pick it up for 5:00. We arrived at 5:00 and waited another 30 minutes for the vehicle. Once the vehicle was complete they tried having us sign a receipt saying we owed 102 dollars. We informed them we were not signing it due to the oil change being promised to us due to the car being a demo car. They then took the paper and crumbled it up and informed us we did not need to sign it. After this we went out to the car and the car was dirty. The coating was applied to a dirty car and you could see all the dirt under the coating on the exterior. The interior had several smudge marks as well. We immediately talked to an employee who was clearly agitated with us and he stated the car should have been washed prior to the coating going on and that it was not a good job. For the 4th time that day we were told they were short staff and the service was rushed. After this we called Mike and informed him of the issues. Due to it being a Friday afternoon he informed us the manager would call on Monday. Today my boyfriend talked to the manager and their way of making it right was by stripping it and redoing the coating. I have read many articles stating to not let anyone do this as it can mess up the paint in the long run. We are being given the run around and they do not want to do a refund. The manager on the phone today stated it should have been washed prior to the coating going on but it was rushed due to too many staff members being off. So instead of refunding for the coating that they took full responsibility for due to rushing and not having enough staff they want to take the coating off and redo it. I honestly do not trust them at this point to take my vehicle back to them and it’s been very poorly handled.

  I highly recommend them! I purchased my first brand new car here and had a great experience. I found them to be friendly, knowledgeable and fair and couldn’t ask for a better experience. My last vehicle was purchased online and I honestly didn’t know what to expect buying this vehicle in person. It was a much better buying experience though for sure and just provided much better, more personalized service. I’m extremely thankful that Michael took the time to show me my new vehicle, explain all of its features and made sure everything fit my needs. Thank you Michael and the team at Hawkins Chevrolet for a great buying experience!

  Ken, our salesman, answered all of our questions. We checked out three models and thought we were choosing a Blazer. We went for dinner and decided we wanted to look at the Traverse next to the Blazer on the lot. We called Ken and he gave us his time and patience. At all times, Ken was kind. There was no pressure, just assistance. The finance person, Dan, was also kind and provided information for us to make the best choices for us. All of the staff at Hawkins were helpful and kind. The young man who cleaned the car before we finalized our purchase did a great job, too. I recommend Hawkins as a great place to buy a vehicle.
