I rent from Enterprise frequently, and this was by far my most disappointing experience.
I had a reservation for 6:00 p.m., but I received three phone calls during the week asking me to come earlier because the location was closing early. While it was inconvenient, I adjusted my schedule and arrived around 5:00 p.m.
When I got there, I was told there were no vehicles available and that I would have to wait. Unfortunately, I had another appointment and couldn’t wait indefinitely, especially since the location was closing at 5:30 p.m. and they couldn’t even guarantee a vehicle would be available before they closed. I ended up leaving without a car, spent time trying to find a rental at other locations with no luck, and had to rearrange my plans so I could pick one up the next morning instead.
The biggest issue was my interaction with Joe when I called to ask if I could simply pick up my vehicle the following morning. He was incredibly rude, dismissive, and offered no solution or understanding of the situation. Customer service goes a long way, especially when the inconvenience wasn’t caused by the customer.
I did eventually get my rental the next morning, and I want to mention that the women who usually work at this location have always been friendly and helpful. However, this experience left a very negative impression. Because of how the situation was handled, especially by Joe, I’ll likely be renting from another location or another company in the future
