I was traveling as a passenger in a vehicle that had been taken to Mavis for a brake and rotor replacement after they were recommended by friends. Not long after the initial service, the car had to be brought back within a couple of days due to a brake warning light. The problem was not resolved, and we were told the vehicle needed to be taken to a dealership. Shortly after, a regional manager named Jessica reached out and requested that the car be taken to another location that was supposedly better equipped to handle the issue. Even after a third visit, we were assured that everything was in proper condition. That assurance turned out to be incorrect. During a trip to Boston with my family, I personally experienced the vehicle starting to make unusual noises and showing clear signs of brake malfunction while driving on a high-speed highway. Out of concern for everyone’s safety, we had no option but to go directly to a Mazda dealership. At the dealership, we were told the brake service had not been completed properly and that there was a serious issue with the workmanship. They had to fully redo the brake job. Because of this, my friend had to pay again for the repair, along with additional expenses for related damage and a rental vehicle. This situation not only created a significant financial burden, but also placed all of us in a very unsafe situation while traveling in a vehicle that had been “fixed” multiple times. My friend made several attempts to resolve the matter directly with Mavis through emails and phone calls, including reaching out to the regional manager, but communication was inconsistent and often redirected. It wasn’t until a dispute was filed with their bank that Mavis finally responded. At that point, they were advised to let the bank handle the case directly, so no further communication was pursued with Mavis as the matter moved through official channels. From my perspective as a passenger, I was very disappointed with both the quality of the repair work and the way the situation was handled afterward. The experience resulted in thousands of dollars in unexpected costs and, more importantly, put everyone in the vehicle at risk. I’m sharing this so others are aware before trusting Mavis with critical vehicle repairs.

I chose Mavis after hearing good recommendations from friends and brought my Mazda in for a brake and rotor replacement. Shortly after the initial service, I had to return just two days later due to a brake-related warning on my vehicle. The issue was not resolved, and I was told to take the car to a dealership. The following day, a regional manager named Jessica contacted me and asked me to bring the vehicle to another location that was supposedly more specialized. After a third visit, I was finally told everything was fine. Unfortunately, that was not the case. While driving to Boston with my family, my vehicle began making abnormal noises and experiencing serious brake issues on a high-speed highway. For safety reasons, I had no choice but to take the car immediately to a Mazda dealership. There, I was informed that the brake work had not been performed correctly and represented a serious workmanship failure. The dealership had to completely redo the brake service. As a result, I had to pay again for the repairs, along with additional costs for related damage and a rental vehicle during that time. This situation caused significant financial loss and, more importantly, put my family and me at serious risk while driving a vehicle that had supposedly been repaired multiple times. I attempted to resolve the issue directly with Mavis through emails and multiple calls to the regional manager, but I was repeatedly transferred or told the manager was unavailable. Only after I disputed the charge with my bank did Mavis finally reach out to me. After opening a dispute with my bank, I was instructed to let them manage the process directly. Therefore, I am no longer engaging in direct communication with Mavis regarding this issue, as it is now being handled through the proper channels. I am extremely disappointed not only with the quality of the service, but also with how the situation was handled. I ended up spending thousands of dollars on repairs, rentals, and transportation—while being put in a dangerous situation that could have been avoided. I am sharing my experience so others think twice before trusting Mavis with critical vehicle repairs.

On my way to brunch I unfortunately was met with a flat. Far from home and after a tumultuous morning learning how to change a flat for the first time, the Mavis team were my super heroes! It was a Sunday, so thank goodness for them being open! Bill and David could not have been nicer! They got me right in. They complimented my new tire changing skills and we had a great chat about the reliability of Honda Accords. I could not say more positive things about my experience! They got me home safely and I am very grateful!

We had an 11AM appt to get an oil change and PA inspection. Around 12:30, the manager Troy informed my wife that we needed 1 tire and rear brakes to pass inspection. She asked him if we needed all 4 tires changed since it's an AWD vehicle (1 tire measured 2/32 & the other 3 were under 4/32), he insisted we didn't need all 4 changed and gave her the cheapest tire...this is terrible advice since that risks uneven wear and slippage which can lead to drivetrain issues. She also questioned the brake measurements since we got brakes replaced about 1.5 years ago but he said she had to get it done to pass inspection. Around 3PM they told her it was complete and gave her keys, they promptly took the keys back b/c they "forgot the oil change." Now this is where it gets bad... my wife finally gets home around 4PM and I take a look at the car and realize THEY ALSO FORGOT THE TIRE but somehow gave her the inspection sticker. Imagine if we didn't catch that and she continued driving on unsafe tires! To recap: they forgot the oil change, the tire, gave us an inspection sticker on a car that didn't pass but did install brakes we didn't need. Sheer incompetence and negligence. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like they take this very seroiusly at a corporate/management level. We filed a complaint with their corporate hotline.... we did recieve a voucher for the tire and was told Regional Manager Jessica would investigate the brake measurements and would reach out within 24-48 hours. It's now been 1.5 weeks and I've called 3 times without a single call back. AVOID this location and company!!

Just left this location. Will never go back! Walked in and Bill kindly assisted me. I advised him that I needed a tire plugged because it had a nail in it. I also stated I was on lunch. There were no cars in the bay area. I heard one employee tell the other employee that we don't have time for you to work on your personal car. He walked off. The employee looked at me and went to pull his car in. I then saw a 3rd taller gentleman talking to him briefly. I sat and waited for about 10min. Not because I was being impatient, but because I thought that was very unprofessional and not a way to do business. I asked for my keys back. Upon leaving, I see the taller guy on the phone on the side of the bldg. The other employee still working on his car. The 3rd employee nowhere to be found. I remember coming to this place before and the workers were so helpful and ready to assist. It was a different name. Not sure where the disconnect is, but Midas do better!! The one by my house is amazing. This one is near my job. Never again!
