We waited 2 hours for an oil change and they had not even started on my vehicle, nor did they directly update me on the progress of my scheduled service throughout that entire time period. I scheduled the oil change over a week ago, for Saturday 11:00 AM, to ensure that there would be no issues on our family’s road trip the following week. I arrived promptly, 5 minutes before my appointment to check in with my 12-year old. A woman came in afterwards and stood behind me in line. The waiting room was filled with another man, and 2 men sitting together that appeared to know each other, or possibly befriended one another waiting. The gentleman in his mid 60’s appeared intoxicated with nonstop chatter and boisterous laughter in conversing with the man next to him, often using inappropriate and explicit language in front of my daughter. He also appeared to know the woman when she joined us in the waiting room. Dustin, who is always very pleasant, came in to inform the 2 men that there was a complication removing the lug nuts with their vehicle, and that would require drilling and unfortunately result in a longer wait period for whatever service they had requested. However, nobody came to update me on my car. Was I just to assume the other customer’s delay would impact the scheduled time I had requested for my own car? That is not my responsibility. As I customer, I should not have to assume anything. A delay seems unfair considering I had made the appointment far in advance, and most oil changes take anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour. I even emphasized that I did not want my tires rotated. Should be even quicker, right? I will admit that I have noticed longer wait times in the past of recent, when getting my oil changed at this NTB location. If it weren’t for the cordial employees at the front desk, ease of booking an appointment online and near proximity to where I live, I would have stopped getting my oil changed here long ago. I should have known better, after my last several visits. The quality of service at NTB has definitely gone down. There have been 2 times where they sent me home without completing the oil change, only topping it off with a little bit of oil, claiming that there could be a leak somewhere and to return in 1-2 weeks. I drive a Lexus. There has never been a leak.😂 This repeated ruse is extremely inconvenient. In hindsight, I now wonder if this is their strategy to gaslight customers(or clueless females) into believing it is beyond their control to perform an oil change at that time….simply because their mechanics are lazy and/or overwhelmed, and would rather do something else, work on another preferred service for another vehicle. I also believe they prioritize certain patrons and services that would generate higher costs over other customers, as the woman that came in after me was finished a half an hour before I left. As simple as an oil change is, it is low on their list of priorities. They are inconsiderate and just do not care about their customers, or the ones with less costly service requests. After 2 hours, I stood up, left the waiting room and asked the man at the front desk for an update. To my surprise, I saw that my car was still sitting in the parking lot where I had left it!! As I suspected, they had not even started working on it! My daughter and I walked out once I got my key back. 2-hours of our weekend, completely wasted, that could have been productively used to make other preparations for our trip, or just literally do anything else over having to listen to an entitled, high, old man rant in the waiting room order while waiting for a service that was never performed. I will never again put my trust in an NTB location again after today’s disappointment and lack of courtesy, professionalism and communication from NTB. 2 hours for an oil change is completely unreasonable and unacceptable, especially if you have an appointment. If you value your time and vehicle, look elsewhere, for getting work done…even something as simple as an oil change.
