I went in after experiencing a strange issue with my dummy lights on the dash was an intermittent problem Rob was upfront about the issue didn't charge me for initial diagnostics when the problem reoccured he was able to finally trace the problem to a loose fuse holder, I feel he was very honest with me and price I felt was very reasonable. The shop was very friendly and helpful. I will always return to this shop for future repairs and refer this garage to others. Thank you for your honesty that is number one in my book 👍

I had a wonderful experience at Powell’s Transmission Center. The staff was friendly & professional. They performed a transmission check-up on my car, at no-cost to me. Upon departure, They pulled my car over across the street so it would be safer for me to pull out of the lot. It’s rare to find this type of exceptional service. I HIGHLY recommend Powell’s for all of your transmission needs!

We took my Nissan Murano because it was leaking a lot of transmission fluid. My car has around 62,000 miles and is 2009. I have babied this car all these years. No one could find where the leak was coming from. Two of our friends told us there is only one person that could help and was the owner of Powell Transmission in Bentleyville. We dropped off the car and after Checking it out the owner called and told us that the fluid was leaking all over and described to us where it was coming from. He said it would be too expensive to fix and recommended that we don’t spend that money on it. It was more than what I could sell it for without the that leak. He gave us more recommendations which we appreciated. We ask how much we owned him for his time and he said since he couldn’t help us he didn’t want anything. We had another friend tell us how honest the owner was. Well to sum this up if you need an honest man to work on your car there is only one place you should go, and that is POWELL TRANSMISSION. In Bentleville, Pa. I know we will be taking all our cars here. His office staff are so friendly and accommodating. We could not have been happier to get an honestly answer and not even been charged. Of course we feel that everyone’s time is worth something.

Crap work. Had just over 5K miles on a tranny that was built here, ended up losing 5th and 6th gear, in Detroit at 5am. Called them up to explain what had happened, no sympathy, no warranty, they DO NOT stand behind their work at all. Took the tranny into a place near my house after limping my truck home in 4th gear... Couple bolts had backed out of the transmission (no threadlock!!!) and the fork had become dislodged making 5th and 6th gear inoperable. The tranny had been leaking fluid, and found that the shifter boot had a hole in it. How does that happen from normal driving and use? I think they must have just reinstalled a damaged boot cover. They either reused original throw out bearing, or installed a cheap crappy throw out bearing, as the one removed was starting to grind... Avoid at all costs. Go somewhere that takes pride in their work, "wher is that?" you may ask... somewhere that offers a warranty on the work they do.
