They fixed my brakes up on a holiday weekend without an appointment and I had to drive back to NC. The service manager was great and my brakes are perfect now.

I called ahead of time to confirm they would be able to inspect my ford e350 I gave them all of the I formation and even double checked they would be able to inspect it before I made an appointment. Well I showed up to the appointment and they said they could not inspect my ford e350. They wasted a ton of my time and lied about calling me back and leaving me a message.

Thought the nail could be plugged but they explained why it couldn’t and the safety concerns. They then found a tire in my price range and fit me for install. It was safe, courteous, and quick. I’m a happy customer as usual. Good place with good service and people. Thank you very much

I gave a 4 star because after weeks of searching the internet for the specific tires I was looking for just for my Subaru Ascent at a reasonable price Monro Auto popped up with a great price! I got the quote and then about less then 10 min. I received a call from an Altoona number which came up unknown, ( I never answer them) so It was Lisa from Monro, she asked which tires I wanted? In which I was confused a bit because I would assume she would be able to see but she explained she was only seeing a part # so I gave her all the info again and that I wanted an alignment, she then gave me a completely different total and I almost cancelled the transaction but then asked if that was with the special $100 discount and she apologized because it did not take that off. So the next day I showed up for my appt in which she said I was early and yes I was because the text I received to confirm was for the original time so I wasn’t sure if it got changed so I did not want to miss my appt. So I went at that time, she said they were running behind and as they would be due to it was only her and one service tech? She then proceeded to tell me they could not do the alignment for my car because if they did it would set off all the codes in my car and I would have to go to the dealership anyway? Why was that not told to me on the phone ? I would not have ordered them, I was trying to do this all at once so I was extremely frustrated and very annoyed that there was not good communication about this when my car was punched in when I did the quote for the tires? But as for the tech he did a wonderful job! I checked out and Thank heaven right before I left I asked about the warranty and Lisa had to redo the paperwork because I was not told about the roadside warranty. So I would think that this add on is something Monro would want you to be upselling! Also my paperwork said I denied the alignment, no I did not, Monro you denied it! That was a whole other issue!

I’ve had several positive experiences at this Monro location over the years, especially when needing something handled quickly. Unfortunately, this most recent visit was NOT one of those experiences. I brought my Ford Edge in specifically for diagnosis of a front-end/driveline type noise that strongly pointed toward a wheel bearing or hub issue. I explained the symptoms in detail, including how the noise changed under load & while turning right and nearly disappeared turning left. My RO clearly states "possible wheel bearing" as the customer issue. A few hours later Lisa(?) called and told me that they checked out the car and it was NOT a wheel bearing issue, but that my 'rotors were warped and brake pads were near discard level'. I was sold all four corners and a brake fluid flush because 'the fluid was old and dirty', despite being flushed in January 2026 at Ford. After the repair, the exact original symptoms were completely 100% unchanged. The noise I described when I arrived was still immediately present when I drove away, despite being the repair being presented as complete and being told that it wasn't the wheel bearing at all. That honestly left me questioning whether the vehicle was even properly road tested afterward. After continuing to experience the same symptoms, I took the vehicle to another shop (Ford), where the driver’s front wheel bearing issue I originally suspected was confirmed almost immediately! My frustration is paying for work that DID NOT ADDRESS MY ORIGINAL CONCERN, and acting as if they'd solved the problem by selling services I may or may not have needed to begin with. At the end of the day, I brought the vehicle in for diagnosis of a specific concern and left with that exact concern unresolved, after being told it was something else entirely. I understand customers are not professional technicians, but in this case the original diagnosis I brought to the table ended up being correct, as immediately confirmed by Ford the very next day. Beyond the money, this also cost me another day dealing with repairs, and being without the vehicle longer than necessary because I ultimately had to schedule another shop to diagnose and repair the exact issue I originally brought to Monro for. What also rubbed me the wrong way was the overall feeling that customer vehicles were being rushed through due to the volume of Enterprise fleet work being handled. There were multiple comments made about how many vehicles needed completed that day, and the experience ultimately left me feeling more like a number in line than a customer whose actual concern was being properly diagnosed and verified. Disappointing experience overall, especially because I’ve trusted this location in the past.
