  I had a horrible experience with Alamo. On May 12th I was scheduled to drop off the rental I currently had through Budget, at 9pm. Since that booking could not be altered without a large fee, I scheduled a pickup with Alamo for 9pm also on the 12th. My plan was to drop off the vehicle I already had, and pick up one with Alamo at the same time. At 8:32pm Alamo decided to call me and inform me they had no vehicles available and I would need to return the next morning and see IF they had any cars. This was not possible for me due to my flight leaving the next day. Not to mention, I reserved this booking at 1pm so I should’ve been notified hours in advance, not 28 minutes before pickup. As a result of this, I was forced to pay Budget $474 to keep the car I currently had with them for ONE more night because I had no other choice.

  I had a confirmed reservation (booked two months in advance) for a midsize luxury SUV at the Lehigh Valley Airport location, and this was easily one of the worst rental experiences I’ve had. I even completed accelerated check-in ahead of time, but when I arrived at 8:00 PM, I was told they didn’t have my vehicle class available. The only options offered were a Camry or a pickup truck—neither of which fit my needs. No one contacted me ahead of time to warn me, despite having my reservation and information on file. I drove 45 minutes to the airport expecting my confirmed reservation to be honored, only to be sent home with nothing and told to call back in the morning. The next day was no better still no solution, no urgency, and still no vehicle available. Because of this, I had to scramble to book a last-minute rental with another company at a much higher price. My trip was delayed by 12 hours, and the entire situation was completely avoidable with basic communication or proper inventory management. A reservation should mean something. This felt like there was zero accountability. I’ve used Alamo specifically for their SUV options in the past, but after this experience, I will not be returning. Extremely disappointing.

  Rental from 30-Apr to 3-May. Great experience with the Alamo staff at ABE International. We especially appreciate the lady who greeted us on vehicle return. She was very pleasant and after a long weekend visiting family, she made our day!

  Fast and easy pickup, quick walk to the rental car lot, a wonderful vehicle, and fast and easy drop off. What more could one ask.
