I had an extremely frustrating experience with Gilles Point S and, after spending several thousand dollars with them, I would not recommend this shop based on how my situation was handled. I originally brought in my 2011 Chevy Camaro Rally Sport for a tune-up, oil change, new tires, an alignment, and additional work underneath the car. I spent several thousand dollars getting everything done. A couple weeks later, I was rear-ended at a gas station and brought the Camaro back to them to figure out why the car was sitting crooked and whether there was frame or suspension damage. Jordan was the main person I dealt with. Communication was terrible. It would take an extremely long time to get updates, quotes, or even a clear explanation of what was going on. My car sat there for weeks at a time and I constantly felt like I had to chase them down for information. Eventually I was told the rear passenger control arm needed to be replaced. I paid almost another $1,000 for the repair and installation. After it was replaced, the car was STILL crooked. I was then told they would try additional methods to straighten it, and the car continued sitting there. The worst part is the condition the Camaro was in when I finally picked it up. Before bringing it there, the Camaro had been sitting at my house for around 4–5 months after the accident. During that time it started normally, the battery was fine, the check engine light was not on, and the electrical features were working. When I picked it up, the battery was almost completely dead and the car barely started. Jordan came outside and told me one of their employees had apparently left the keys in the car. Despite that, I was basically told the battery was not their responsibility. The next morning, the car would not start at all. So now I am stuck paying for a replacement battery out of my own pocket. My HUD, which projects information onto the windshield, is also no longer working properly. It worked before I left the Camaro with them. I am also now getting a strange “6 keys programmed” message when starting the car that I had never seen before. On top of that, the check engine light is now on, which was NOT on before I left the vehicle with them. I also had the same phone mount on my dashboard for years with no issues. When I got the car back, the adhesive underneath it had broken down/melted, the mount was coming loose, and sticky glue residue was left on the dashboard. There were also bugs and debris inside the car. I cannot say exactly what caused every one of these new problems, but I can say they were not issues I was experiencing before leaving the vehicle there. That is what makes this so frustrating: I brought them a Camaro that was crooked after an accident, and I got it back STILL crooked, but now also with a dead battery, a HUD that no longer works properly, a new check engine light, a new “6 keys programmed” message, and new problems inside the car. After months of delays, thousands of dollars spent, poor communication, an expensive repair that did not correct the original problem, and the car being returned to me in worse condition, I finally decided to take it somewhere else. What bothered me most was the lack of accountability. I tried to discuss these issues with Jordan, but I repeatedly felt like I was just being told none of it was their responsibility. If you bring your vehicle here, I highly recommend taking pictures beforehand and documenting the battery, warning lights, electrical features, interior, and overall condition of your vehicle before leaving it with them.
