    Thanks again to Charlie, who really demonstrated what great, personalized customer service is all about. I stopped by Milford Auto Zone to buy a replacement running-lamp for my truck, but I forgot to bring in the dead one for reference. Not only did Charlie patiently (and pleasantly) ask me questions to help him find the correct one on his computer, but once he identified the right one, he pulled it out of inventory and then, without hesitation, came with me out in to the (very cold and dark) parking lot to uninstall the bad lamp and install the good one into my truck. He also applied some of the dielectric grease I had purchased. This may have been a small sale for Charlie (and Auto Zone) but the positive impression his extra, and unexpected, customer-care left on me is huge. All other companies take notice: THIS is how you build brand loyalty. So go find yourself a "Charlie" (if you're lucky enough), provide the proper training, then just treat them - and pay them - well enough to stay.

    I came in to get my mom’s car battery inspected yesterday afternoon and had a great experience with Alan and Ivan. Alan took the opportunity to train Ivan on how to properly run a diagnostics test on a battery and replace when needed (I even learned!). Alan was a consummate professional throughout - he was polite, knowledgeable, and honest. I did end up needing a new battery and Alan steered me in the right direction; he familiarized me with the differences between Gold and Platinum AGM batteries, and even saved me a couple bucks in the process (I went with Gold). Honesty trumps deceptive sales tactics all day in my book, and even though I’m from Boston, MA, I would visit this location again solely based on this experience.
