So I tried to find it myself but couldn’t so I asked him for help he tells me that I can find what I am looking for at harbor freight someone there can help me find it. I’ve always brought my business to Advance Auto, now I have to think about it before I even bother going to Advance after this situation. And it’s was a simple question.

I called after realizing the part I purchased was for the wrong side of the vehicle (a fairly common mistake when buying auto parts) and immediately felt accused and talked down to on the phone. When I came into the store to exchange the unused part, I explained that it had never been installed and that I had repackaged it as carefully as possible. Jacob then took the box and threw it behind the counter, stating that I had “ruined” it and that it would need to be returned as defective. His behavior throughout the interaction was aggressive enough that it genuinely made me feel uneasy and uncomfortable. I’ve been coming to this location for a long time and it has always been my first stop when I needed parts, but after this experience and the lack of respect I received, I’ll be taking my business elsewhere.

If they don’t have what I need, I know they can get it quickly. They are extremely helpful and I am always greeted by all of the associates as I enter their stores. Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
