DON’T PROCRASTINATE GETTING THE PARTS YOU NEED FOR YOUR VEHICLE

Batteries

Your car battery is vital to keeping your car running. If you are worried about your car’s battery health, stop by your local AutoZone for a free battery check. We carry batteries with proven tough coverage from Duralast, plus performance options like Optima and Odyssey. We have everything you need to keep your car powered all year long.

Brakes

No matter the weather, having reliable brakes is essential to help you stop safely. Reliable stopping starts at AutoZone. Get Duralast brakes that meet or exceed OE, or performance brakes from Brembo, EBC, and more.

Motor Oil

Neglecting to change your oil regularly can cause your engine to overheat and even seize. We recommend changing your oil every 3,000 to 5,000 miles. Make sure your engine continues to run smoothly by getting your motor oil at your local AutoZone. Our associates can help you find the right motor oil for your vehicle.

Windshield Wipers

AutoZone offers a wide selection of windshield wipers for all types of vehicles. Whether you're looking for basic wipers or high-performance options, we have the perfect wipers for you. We recommend changing your wipers every 6 months to ensure a clear view of the road in any weather condition.

5 STARS — AutoZone Minot is where beaters go to receive emergency medical treatment, bad decisions go to be justified, and my paycheck goes to disappear with dignity. I frequent this location enough that the building should probably have a small plaque with my name on it: “Joshua’s Financially Questionable Automotive Sanctuary.” The location wraps male logic into a children's story—with bright, clean aisles, shelves stacked with enough tools, fluids, filters, wipers, and mysterious plastic clips to rebuild a vehicle from emotional trauma alone. It looks less like a store and more like a very organized orange-and-red temple dedicated to the sacred chant: “It’s probably the alternator.” Any beater deserves parts from here. I have purchased actual necessities—parts, rags, oil, cleaners, and supplies—but I have also purchased tools I explained to myself in the parking lot in a whisper: “No, listen… I need this. It’s on sale. It could save me someday. This $47 specialty socket is basically an heirloom.” Somewhere, a cashier’s child is getting through college because I walked in for one fuse and left with three bags, a new ratchet, microfiber towels, and a bottle of something that promises to “restore performance.” The store itself is clean enough to make you feel bad bringing in a greasy old part wrapped in a gas-station napkin. The aisles are wide, bright, and organized—the exact opposite of my garage after I decide to do “a quick 20-minute repair” at 8:43 p.m. This place is laid out like an automotive supermarket for people who have ever stood in a driveway holding a busted component and said, “Well, that can’t be good.” The staff has always been courteous and knowledgeable, which is a big deal. At some parts stores, asking for an oil filter turns into a seminar where you must explain what oil is, why engines have it, and why you cannot simply put mayonnaise in there and hope for the best. Not here. I can ask about a ratchet, spark plug, or part number without unfolding a three-panel presentation titled “Please Believe Me, This Does Go on a Car.” As a veteran, the discount is excellent. And the rewards program occasionally drops $20 into my account like a tiny financial guardian angel—then I immediately use it to buy $94 worth of supplies and proudly announce to my bank account, “Look at that. I saved money.” That is math with confidence, not math with accuracy. And then there is teenage female car logic: the dashboard can be lit up like the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree, the interior can look like a defeated snack aisle collided with a thrift store, and the official diagnosis by them will still be, “It started making that noise like a month ago, but I didn’t think much of it until I heard a loud bang and then there was smoke.” At that point, you do not need a mechanic—you need a priest, a tow truck, three air fresheners, and an AutoZone employee willing to stare into the engine bay with you to create a list and take pictures like it is a crime scene. Prices can sometimes be a little higher than ordering online or scavenging through the haunted aisles of the internet, but I let it slide because the service is worth it. I would rather pay a few extra bucks, get the right item, and have a knowledgeable person available than save $6 online and receive a belt for a lawn tractor, a wrong-sized filter, and a customer-service email written by a robot named Cheryl. AutoZone Minot: clean, helpful, well-stocked, and dangerously effective at turning “I need one part” into a full-scale automotive shopping expedition. If your vehicle makes a noise that sounds expensive, go here. If your vehicle is a rusty old warrior held together by hope and zip ties, go here. If you need a tool you absolutely do not need but suddenly cannot live without—buddy, you already know where you’re headed.

Be careful shopping at AutoZone because apparently the same product can have completely different prices depending on which store you walk into. I bought a Duralast Gold 3.5 Ton Floor Jack in store for $290, then found the exact same item on AutoZone’s own website for $270. When I went back, I was told they would not match their own online price, and the explanation was that prices can vary by location. That means two AutoZone stores can charge different prices for the same item, and the website can show another price entirely. Most customers assume the price is consistent company-wide, but that clearly is not the case. My advice: do not blindly buy in store. Check the price online first and compare prices at nearby locations before paying, because you could easily spend more than necessary for the exact same product.
