  I’m very disappointed with the way my child and I were treated by an employee at this Maverik. My child has special needs and was interested in trying a slushie he had never had before. He took a tiny sip to see if he liked it, and the cashier/night-shift employee immediately flipped out and yelled at him for sampling the drink. My child was embarrassed and upset, and I felt the situation could have been handled so much more kindly and respectfully. He ended up purchasing the drink, but because he was not given the opportunity to actually try it and decide if he liked it, he ended up with a drink he does not like. Now I’m left wondering what I’m supposed to do with it — am I supposed to return it? I understand that employees may have rules they need to follow, but there was absolutely no reason to embarrass or yell at a child, especially a child with special needs. The situation could have been handled calmly and with a little compassion. I hope management addresses this because customers, especially children and families, deserve to be treated with patience and respect.

  Plain and simple the night shift guy was very rude, my brother (9) wanted to take a little sip of something he wanted potentially get as his drink and the guy yelled at him for no taste testings and didn’t even try to be nice about it. Idk what his name was but we went in at 5am on a Sunday.

  Big Maverick fans, huge soda addicts. Moved around here recently and every time we try to get a soda, the machines have a lot out of order or the carbonation to syrup ratio is very bad. We will have to try a new place to get our soda fix. Bathrooms were very clean on the plus side.
