  Why a very nasty lady -already looking at me with a scowl as I approach the register-would harass a 62 year old man with a long white beard insisting on an ID to buy two beers with his phone because he forgot his wallet is beyond me. As I’m trying to explain I accidentally left my wallet -paying with……wow-the nastiest stink eye as she quickly slides the beer away from me as though I’m going to snatch it and run…rude short haired morning shift lady-she claims it is not possible to ring it up without an ID. Lie. I otherwise would not mind-but I never get asked at a Maverick by anyone else. I have since quit going to this store. If this is a strict Maverick policy -be consistent. I am pushing 3 times the legal age-just wanted a couple of cold ones after my grave shift. Used to come in all the time.

  Nice, happy and helpful staff. The lady in charge gave me a thumbs up when I asked if I could use something in the back. Very generous and I was grateful.

  Went in and tried to buy a hot dog and a soda with $100 dollar Bill because that was all the cash I had in my wallet. They said it was a new policy that they couldn’t take 100$ bill anymore, said I had to go to the bank and break it.
