  Even though this is a multi-state business, I've had good customer service and good quality service for my trailer. Bought my trailer here and thought the process was quite straightforward and fairly easy. I've had a good experience at this business.

  We purchased a brand-new 2026 Forest River Wolf Pup from Camping World in Meridian and, unfortunately, have not been able to use it for a single camping trip. It has been returned to the dealership four times since purchase. Camping World’s service records document numerous problems, including an intermittent electrical connection that damaged our upgraded batteries, a leaking fresh-water tank requiring replacement, a stabilizer jack requiring replacement, an entry door requiring replacement, a broken compartment frame and hinge, separating tank heaters, underbelly damage, intermittent slide and water-heater operation, flooring problems, loose wall panels, trim issues, and other workmanship defects. We were not given an adequate walkthrough before signing the financing documents. We also later discovered that the water and sewer systems still contained winterization products. Because of the continuing problems, we paid $250 for an independent RV inspection. Our most recent call with the market general manager and service director was extremely disappointing. Management repeatedly stated that the trailer was safe, but declined to provide the detailed written repair, testing, and quality-control information we requested. Camping World proposed temporarily transferring a fresh-water tank, stabilizer jack, and possibly other parts from another trailer so we could use ours for an upcoming trip. We would then have to return our trailer so those parts could be removed and replaced again when the ordered parts arrived. We asked for written confirmation regarding Forest River’s authorization, warranty coverage, parts condition, testing, and how temporarily accepting the trailer might affect our pending dispute. That written confirmation was refused, so we did not authorize the proposal. We have formally requested a replacement or buyback and opened a corporate escalation. Meanwhile, we continue making loan and insurance payments on a brand-new trailer we have been unable to use. We have also lost vacation time and missed planned family camping opportunities. Andy and Tiffany in the service department have generally been calm, helpful, and professional. Our primary concern is the dealership’s management response, lack of proactive communication, lack of meaningful acknowledgment, and refusal to provide important proposed terms in writing. This matter remains unresolved. We will update this review if Camping World or Forest River provides a fair and meaningful resolution.

  AVOID PURCHASING AN RV FROM THIS LOCATION! Last month, we purchased a used RV from the Meridian, ID location, and the ENTIRE STAFF from the salesman to the financing to the title department to the GM are completely incompetent and negligent. They are incapable of answering a simple phone call let alone finishing any task. 1) We purchased the "Let's Go Camping" package for nearly $3k to have our RV inspected & repaired. First they swapped out the batteries with cheap replacements vs. the lithium batteries that we directly asked for. Also, they neglected to give us a box of camping supplies (choks, hoses, etc) that were included with the package until we demanded to get the products that we paid for. 2) After we purchased the RV, CampingWorld took 2 WEEKS to get us a temporary tag. We called repeatedly and were told that "the package is expedited and on its way", but nothing happened. Fast forward, a month later, the temp tags have expired. We called CW Meridian again about getting new tags, and the staff told us to "just change the date ourselves on the tag" WHICH IS HIGHLY ILLEGAL! Instead of CW taking the time to make new tags which is what they should have done in the first place. 3) We applied for financing and the RV title was to be transferred to a 3rd party title company soon after we signed the agreement. It's 5 weeks later, and after calling the title company directly, CW has not prepared the appropriate paperwork and we cannot move forward with officially registering our new RV - and stop relying on temp tags. Again, we have called, texted, left messages, given a myriad of excuses by the CW staff, but CW is so incompetent that they are unable to do anything at all. 4) Our sales person was a ghost. We would call. No answer. Told he wasn't at work. Then he went on vacation. We finally had to insist on speaking with the sales manager to get anything done. We were lied to repeatedly about when we were to receive the temp tags, and other items and nothing would have happened if we didn't call and text 10x to get any action taken. We have purchased from other CW locations with no issues, but the CW - Meridian, ID location is a joke. Shop elsewhere.
