Do not under any circumstance book with Enterprise. I arrived with my brother into Idaho Falls with a reservation and was told that they did not have any cars. We then called the help number for Enterprise who assured us this would be rectified and to hold tight and we would get a call from the station manager and that we would get a call. We never got a call. With no other recourse we ordered a 2.5 hour Uber and get a Hertz car in a different city in Idaho. We asked Enterprise to pay for the Uber—and were told we would be contacted to discuss options. We got a call from an Enterprise in Illinois—not Idaho. The Illinois Enterprise Office (Mid-America Airport's Enterprise Location) apologized for the inconvenience and assured us that Enterprise in Idaho would call. They never did. We got an email a few days later saying they were going to do nothing to ameliorate the problem and would offer no compensation of any kind. This location has treated us unfairly and is utilizing unfair business practices as well as acting in bad faith. Please—for your own sake—do not reward this behavior and book with any other available rental car company.

i’ve been with enterprise a long time their cars always are clean while taking care of. I’ve never had any mishaps in 20 years of using enterprise. The weight to pick up my car in Idaho Falls took a lot longer than what I thought upon my returning the car they asked how I liked everything when I brought up the time they offered to give me some kind of reward or compensation for my experience, but I told him no thank you just work on getting some more workers at that specific airport The fact that they cared enough to try and make it right with me, meant all the world to me, and I will continue to get enterprise cars

One of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had.
I rented a vehicle in Salt Lake City and was en route to my destination when my key fob failed. I drove to the Enterprise location at the Idaho Falls Airport for assistance. They spent over an hour attempting to replace the battery in the key fob, but whatever was done, it still didn't work.
One employee was especially helpful. He offered me a Prius after a reasonable wait (following the first hour) but told me that if I waited for about another 30 minutes, he could get me a black Ford Escape SUV, which was the same class as the vehicle I had rented. I agreed to wait.
A little over 30 minutes later, the Escape was brought around, but another employee took the key back inside, saying someone else would help me. When I went inside, the line was very long. Since I had already waited through the line once, I went to the front and explained that I was simply trying to pick up the vehicle I had been told would be available. I was told I would have to wait until everyone else in line had been helped.
I asked to speak with the manager. Chris did not stop to speak with me as he walked toward the garage, so I walked alongside him and explained what had happened. He told me we would need to wait until 6:00 p.m. before they would find us a vehicle, even though we had arrived around 1:00 p.m. I told him that I felt his handling of the situation was passive-aggressive. Rather than responding to that, he said I was not being patient. From my perspective, the problem was they seemingly wanted to hold for all other customers whenever a new set of processes began--even though I had entered through the line when I first arrived.
While we were waiting, I watched another customer drive away in the same black Escape that I had been told would be available for me. The helpful employee eventually found me a vehicle in a lower class at around 3:00 p.m.
I have rented from Enterprise many times and have generally found the company to be efficient and easy to work with. That's what made this experience so disappointing. The manager's handling of the situation was the worst customer service I can recall receiving from any manager. This location consistently had long, slow lines whenever flights arrived, and my experience was handled poorly from beginning to end.
I would gladly rent from Enterprise again, but I would avoid this particular location. (Note: The response from owner appears to me be an automated response that appeared very shortly after I posted late at night. I've received no individual follow-up.)
Reserved a passenger van online and called ahead specifically to confirm I could pay with a debit card. I was told yes. I then drove 90 minutes to the Idaho Falls Airport location, only to be told they would only accept a credit card. The trip was a complete waste because I relied on incorrect information provided by Enterprise. (I also offered to pay entirely in cash with an extra deposit and was rejected).
Customer service only made things worse. I was told a review request would be submitted, but it never was. I was told I was being transferred to a manager, but there wasn’t one. On another call, the representative simply hung up on me. Also, none of them spoke English well enough to properly communicate the situation and to rectify the problems.
Over three hours of driving, fuel costs, and my time were wasted because Enterprise gave me inaccurate information and then failed to take responsibility. I won’t be renting from Enterprise again and neither should you. Turo is the way to go, 100%. Now I have to subpoena phone calls and provide call logs to be reimbursed in small claims court. Absolutely ridiculous nightmare. Avoid. Run away. Stay back. Save yourselves from this atrocious company.
The "owner" will brush you off to some website with links to contact them because they "wanna hear more", that won't help at all just as customer service won't over the phone. Contact your local consumer protective division and Better Business Bureau instead and file everything you have against this location if you get screwed over too.
P.S. 15 people were left stranded in a national park because of this and some couldn't find a suitable ride until 1:37am after waiting since 4pm.
If I could leave zero stars I would!!
I normally do not complain or even send complaints to businesses, however, Monday, July 6, 2026 my husband had the WORST experience ever with any car rental place.
He had a flight from DFW, Texas to Idaho Falls, Idaho which he was going for work. He did not have a return flight due to not knowing when his tasks would be completed. Prior to flying out the office personnel at his work made arrangements and reserved a vehicle.
After my husband’s flight landed on the evening of July 6 around 10:30pm - 11:00pm he went to get the vehicle and that is when the issues began. First, he was denied a rental because he did not have a credit card. When reserving the rental that was not disclosed.
Hy husband was informed at that time that he could only get a rental without having a credit card and only obtaining a debit card is if he had a flight in and a flight out. Again, he did not have a flight out because the length of stay was unknown. The supervisor of the rental place was called and my husband said that he immediately had an attitude and informed him that without a flight in and flight out he was not going to rent a car to them with no exceptions.
Since at this time it was well after business hours and his shop in Texas was closed he was unable to get a flight out at that time. My husband ended up leaving the airport in an uber without a rental, which over the back and forth from to get him to his Air BnB (cost him a total around $200).
The next day my husband was able to get hold of his supervisor in Texas and get a return flight for 2 weeks out (July, 20, 2026) he then went back to the airport to try and get a rental. Again, they spoke with the supervisor, whom was unnecessarily rude, to not only my husband, but his teammate that flew in with him, and his supervisor via the phone. They said that he again refused to rent a vehicle because the flight in was for the previous day and not the same day so he wasn’t going to rent to them. He again Ubers back to the Air BnB and calls me very upset explaining what he was going through.
I got online and started looking for another rental place in Idaho Falls. I found Alamo, which I called and spoke with someone in customer service and explained that my husband has a flight in, which I clarified landed the day before, a flight out and only a debit card. She assured me that would be fine since he has the flight in (which she said the day before was not an issue), a flight out and a debit card and was over the age of 25. So again, my husband took an uber BACK to the airport and who whenever they noticed it was him the told him “we’re all the same” and refused a rental.
My husband spent 3 days of going back and forth and his supervisor called, the supervisor of the Idaho shop even made a trip to the airport trying to get a rental and once the rental manager noticed my husband’s teammate his response was that he already told these guys he wasn’t going to rent to them and when it comes to renting there he is the king and they are the peasants so his decision is final.
The main boss of my husband’s job even got involved and unfortunately nothing was done. After 4 days on no transportation, the Toyota dealership was able to accommodate and provide a rental while these guys were in town working.
I don’t know how you run your business, but allowing someone in a management position that treats his customers as poorly as my husband and his teammate was treated is unacceptable. I would like something to be done to rectify the situation. After being told multiple times what is required and HAVING all the requirements to get a rental then STILL being denied because someone wanted to feel superior, is not a good look.
This is the worst experience anyone could have with so much unnecessary hostility and attitude when all they are trying to do is go up there to work to help out another shop.
